MUOTOTERÄ – THE COMPANY Muototerä is a Finnish family owned company found in 1953 and located in Tampere Finland. We are specialized in water jet cutting applications and other industry automation solutions.
We operate in all over the world. Within last 10 years we have accomplished over 400 projects. Our core value is customer orientation. This is shown by our ability to tailor our solutions to fit perfectly for our customers’ needs. Own production with own mechanical, automation, and electricity engineering creates a customer service concept where experienced engineering office and state -of-the-art machinery works seamlessly.
WATER JET CUTTING -HISTORY Muototerä started the water jet cutting business in year 1988 by importing a cutting system for a customer soon after the new technology was established. The following year the first machine was produced for own use and the cooperation with pump manufacturer Ingersoll Rand begun by ordering pumps for 4 different customer projects at once.

WATER JET CUTTING -HISTORY Muototerä designed the first 5 axis cutting application for own testing use in year 2002. Soon after that several projects were launched for finnish customers.

We have our own designers for mechanical , electrical and automation work, which makes us flexible and helps us to continuousl y improve our products.

Our flexibility and knowhow is based on qualified and experienced personnel together with wide production capacity.
SUPPORT AND SERVICE It is important for us, that our customers can run production continuousl y every day. We support our customers by phone, or at place, as needed. Our own service personnel is available any time. We keep spareparts in our own stock at Tampere, where the deliveries take place normally within the same day.

FEATURES – IGEMS IGEMS is a CAD/CAM software designed for Abrasive Water Jet Cutting. It will allow you to do everything from designing geometry, to generating toolpaths. OPTION –HEIGHT SENSOR Height sensor measures the thickness of the material before piercing and adjusts the height accordingly. Measurement can be used also during cutting for certain materials . Servo controlled Z-axis is needed.
OPTION –COLLISION SENSOR Magnetic fixture will allow the nozzle to make safe collision Sensor will recongnize the collision and stop the cutting Collision sensor will save time and remove the need for changing expensive parts after collision. There are no tools needed for recovering
OPTION –LASER POINTER Laser pointer allows more precise positioning of the plate by showing the zero point position on the plate
OPTION –REMOTE CONTROL Remote control is useful when making precise positioning of sheet Available versions cable and wireless Functions: Moving of all axes (also rapid) Start / Stop of program Watertest for selected nozzles Change between AUTO / MAN
OPTION –GSM ALERT GSM Module helps to run unmanned production Unit sends a SMS message when There is a fault with high pressure pump or cutting table and the cutting is stopped. Program is finished.
OPTION –ABRASIVE SILO Abrasive consumption is approximate 500 kg / week based on 40 h cutting time with one nozzle Capacity of 1,5 ton Automatic operation allows the operator to focus on cutting Automatic screening of abrasive increases productivity by preventing nozzle blocks
OPTION –SLUDGE REMOVER Through the sludge remover the used abrasive will be automatically removed from the cutting tank during the cutting process Abrasive consumption is approximate 300-500 kg / week based on 40 h cutting time with one nozzle
