Competitors chipsets The chipset has a built-in GPS technology to track speed, distance and elevation when in-range. Each competitor carries a chipset with facilities to store the data for more than 24 hours. When they finish the competition, they return the chipset and they merely have to review their data on the website. The chip is also a GPS system and helps judges to check if the competitors have been following the route.
The tablet/PDA software The computer software from the tablet allows for the data in the chipset to be downloaded and, later, to be transfered to an online database via an internet conection. It also registers each person automaticly when the competitor crosses the checkpoint line. The system automaticly stores the time, the wheater conditions, and also some of the data that is stored in the chipset.
The Web For a deeper analysis the competitors can access the web application from any computer with a web browser. The runners who want to analyze their data can access the web to review their performances via personalitzed statistics. The Web application serves as a clean interface with private and public data on the internet, letting you view past workout summaries and routes.
