The architecture academy was inspired by the condition of the site and program. The form of the building was derived by intersecting lines coming from different directions from initial exercise. The building carved at various locations depending the views and the solar intake. 3 alternate Site Plans that present responding to the opportunities and problems revealed in the drawings that was created. After that, a final Site Planning strategy that developed a final Site Plan that integrates the final first floor plan of the final building scheme.

STRUCTURE | Systems, Space and Forms The concept was initially conceived by rolling a simply ball down the slope of the Los Angeles River. This action suggests the essential role of gravity. Further on, I sought to capitalize on the notion of gravity has on rolling. This impression is evident through the construct that achieves a continues surface and is held thought an undetectable structure with three main supporting systems. The resulting void space deflects direct sunlight and greets the ambient light that is perfect for reading.

Natural and urban site orders are explored and analyzed using writing, photography, mapping and sectional studies to develop site planning and building design with a special emphasis given to the relationship between program and external context. Projects focus on influences of adjacencies and environment, through the development of clear systems of movement, space, structure, energy efficiency and daylight. Studio, ten hours a week.

Interlock means to unite or join closely as by hooking or dovetailing. The word INTERLOCK was used to figure out the geometry with the analysis of the precedent which is LaVall d’en joan . the geometry has been divided into 70 by 10 feet contours. The path way forces the person to turn along a folding, which is located between two hilly sides which also interlock. 60

With a proposal of an athletic center in mind and taking advantage of both the concepts of interlocking and conglomerating, the site will be manipulated to the favor of the people. The final design was highly inspired by the precedent analysis of “LAVALL DE’N JOAN by the architectural firm Batlle i Roig. The land is broken into different interlocking fragments which also allows natural light to penetrate and fill the site.

Studio 3B Hous e and Housing The design concept was formed by gathering a simple tectonic unit and exaggerating the geometry. From those tectonic units, a new form of space was created to achieve the residential units. The project inspired by the case study which is UnitÊ d’habitation. It is the name of a modernist residential housing design principle developed by Le Corbusier.

Units Details There are five different units. The first unit is a family friendly. I devised a way to shift the unit to accommodate the main circulation and an extra 5 feet balcony on each floor. Where as in the second which is a roommate friendly. Thus the circulation is divided to the upper and the lower floor with two different entrances. Moving on to the third unit which is a hand-cab unit. This unit is more appropriate for single disable people. Unlike the forth unit type which better suited for families with handicapped members. The last unit is the loft which is designed exclusively for single people.

The studio work consist of a series of expermintsW with fixable sheet form work to concrete to create a verity of structure. The geometry for the dome was generated by trimming a 48” radius hemisphere with a plane rotated 48° from XY-plane around an axis which is 47” away at the closest point from the center of the sphere. The surface was converted into a triangular polymesh by using a “MeshMachine” component in Kangaroo (Piker [1]). The mesh was then exported as an .obj file, imported into “Freeform Origami” (Tachi [2]), and digitally folded using a generalized version of Ron Resch’s truncated star pattern. The unfolded pattern was also generated using the Freeform Origami.

GOLD PLATES CNC 1

25 CM INTERLOCKING

CNC 2

Inspired by Circuit Board which mechanically supports and electrically connects electronic components. The design of this gift started by tracing lines from a real circuit board and intersecting them to create a golden plate that wraps around two interlocked objects.

10 CM

Designed for MISK KSA as gifts for their special guests, The design consists of interlocking marble, 3d printing, and covered with lazer cut golden steel plates.

MATERIAL OF YOUR CHOICE, MARBLE PLASTER WOOD 3D PRINT

E ducation

The two interlocking objects present two different typologies that interact with each other, the activity of the dominant object, creates a unique movement by subtracting from the original object.

The design consists of two interlocking 3d printed pieces. The program Rhino was used through grasshopper fto create birdbone structure

LEVEL Apartments, Los Angeles 3D Printed Lamp The dimension of the proposed lamp is 50”X 24”. The shape was created through physical simulations in Houdini Program, which uses tree branching method. After the physical simulatuion, the geometry was prought to 3D software “Rhino” to prepare the model for 3D printing.

Wuho Gallery, Hollywood Casted Concrete Lamp a concrete lamp that contains LED light. The process of this concrete starts by laser cutting sheets and glue them together. And then pour the concrete once the LED lamp is inserted.

Transparent Plant, Los Angele Casted Concrete Lamp The goal of design this plant is to show the roots as part of the design. The plant that sticks out of a vase is an after thought. Grow your plant through transparency and allow the plant to reveal its beautiful roots.

Digital arts

Computational Arts Phils Coffee DTLA MISK KSA Exhibition

Computation consists of all the changes brought about by digital technology. Art is an open set of ways of acting inventively in culture. Mixing the two together in a systematic way gives us computational art 51

Tree-inspired dendriforms and fractal-like branching structures in architecture Tree-inspired dendriforms and fractal-like branching structures in architecture. The shapes of trees are complex and fractal-like, and they have a set of physical, mechanical and biological functions. The relation between them always draws attention of human beings throughout history and, focusing on the relation between shape and structural strength, architects have designed a number of treelike structures, referred as dendriforms

Connect

Geometry Created by Connecting Points This geometry is created by connecting points of a 3D model of a human. The points represtent the outline of the body. The lighting of the render also create diversity in the geometry.
