JUSTIN’S FALL FEST The City of Justin is hosting its first ever Fall Fest! On October 2nd, come to Community Park and enjoy this fun event benefiting Justin Emergency Services. MONSTER SCULPTURE CAMP NORTHWEST ISD PTA RECEIVES AWARDS The Northwest ISD Council of Parent Teacher Associations received the first ever Outstanding Advocates for Children Award for their work to increase voter turnout in local elections, connect PTA members with elected leaders, and educate voters about candidates and issues. Also recognized, the Northwest High School Parent Teacher Student Association received the Advocacy Award of Distinction for their efforts to support students’ mental health, teachers, and families in their community. 12 | 35 WEST | AUGUST 2021
Students attending the Monster Sculpture Camp, hosted by Northwest ISD, had the opportunity to work with recycled materials and plaster to design, build, and paint a creature from their own imagination.
