CINQUE TERRE

s there anything more enjoyable than a glass of wine and mouthwatering pasta or wood fire pizza while overlooking the Mediterranean? This planet is full of beautiful landscapes, people, and experiences that are waiting for you! As we head into summer, I wanted to highlight one of my favorite destinations: Italy.
In Venice, be sure to check out St. Marks Basillica and Doge’s Palace. Take a gondola ride and get lost in the beautiful alleyways. Seriously, get lost. Put your phone away and just take random turns. You are bound to find something beautiful and unexpected! Florence was my absolute favorite stop in Italy. A city that is centrally located providing access to Tuscany, Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano, Cinque Terre, and more. In Chianti, you will enjoy fabulous wines and stunning views. In fact, we were almost run over by George Clooney on his bicycle in Chianti. It is a favorite destination of his! While in Florence,
CHIANTI I highly encourage taking a day trip
to Cinque Terre. Whether you are an
adventure-seeking junkie that loves hiking or a more relaxed traveler, this is a place
for you. Cinque Terre in English translates
to five lands. We chose to hike in between two of the towns and took the train or
boats in between the remaining. You will
leave with memories of beautiful colorful buildings on the edge of cliffs hanging
over the Mediterranean. A view I hope to never forget. One more thing you cannot miss while in Florence is Ciro & Sons. To
this date, the best pizza I have ever had!
TUSCANY
Our last stop was Rome. While it is
extremely popular with tourists, the history behind it is unsurpassed. You absolutely
ROME must check out The Vatican. I recommend purchasing a ticket that grants admission before the crowds so that you have time to enjoy it all. I recommend hiring a guide for The Vatican and Colosseum. It’s great to hear the stories and history behind them. Can you imagine how difficult it was to build the Colosseum without all power tools or modern conveniences? I can’t wait to share more of my trips with you and hope to inspire you to pack your bags!
