Congratulations to Northwest High School alumni Dustin May for winning the 2020 Major League Baseball World Series with the Los Angeles Dodgers. May graduated from NHS in 2016 and was selected by the Dodgers in the third round of the MLB Draft that same year.

NEF FUNDRAISING SUCCESS

The Northwest ISD Education Foundation (NEF) hosted the 25th NEF Legends Golf Tournament on Oct. 19 at Bridlewood Golf Club and Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club. The foundation raised more than $110,000 to benefit students and teachers in Northwest ISD through scholarships for graduating seniors and classroom grants for educators.

30 DAYS OF GIVING FOOD DRIVE

The City of Roanoke is collecting items to be delivered to the Roanoke Food Pantry to provide local families in need with Christmas Boxes. Collection boxes will be in City buildings; City Hall, Roanoke Public Library, Recreation Center, the police and fire stations, and more. Residents can donate between November 1 and November 30. VIRTUAL REINDEER ROMP

Registration is now open for the 2020 NISD Reindeer Romp. The race will be held virtually, with participants running the race when and where they choose between November 15 and December 12.
