A TRIBUTE TO TOM

A tribute to Tom (George) the turkey now resides in the entrance of Town Hall. A local artist drew a portrait of Tom and placed some of his feathers on either side of the portrait in a shadow box. FORMER ARGYLE HIGH GRADUATE DRAFTED BY PIRATES

Former Argyle Eagle, Brenden Dixon, was one of the key players behind Argyle’s back-toback state champions in 2018 and 2019 has now been drafted to play for the Pittsburgh Pirates! He was chosen 583rd overall and in the 20th round. LIBERTY CHEER AT UCA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

On July 19th, the Liberty Christian School Cheer team had the opportunity to perform the same routine that earned them 3rd in the nation! And it was even broadcasted live on ESPN. MORNINGS WITH THE MAYOR

Mornings with the Mayor are back on! Every first Saturday of the month you can sit down with the Mayor of Argyle, Bryan Livingston, for coffee and donuts at Town Hall! You can discuss town happenings, improvements, desires, etc., and get to know our Mayor on a more personal level. The coffee provided will be from Uncle Mike’s Bistro (formerly Coffee Tree Cafe) and donuts will be provided by Donut Paradise.

HOPEFUL HEARTS 5K STAMPEDE

On September 25 in Old Town Lewisville come run for the Hopeful Hearts 5k Stampede benefiting Christian Community Action! Registration includes a t-shirt, goody bag, free food and drinks, and an opportunity to win individual and team contests with great prizes! There will be music, an auction and a VIP party for the top sponsors to meet former Dallas Cowboy and three-time Super Bowl Champion Tony Tolbert! ARGYLE RANKED TOP 10 FOR VOLLEYBALL

The Lady Eagles Volleyball team is ranked number 10 in the TGCA’s 4A preseason poll! They had a 22-9 record last year and advanced to the region quarterfinals. This season, many key players will be returning and they’ll also be under the direction of a new head coach, Taryn Hill.

4TH GRADERS RAISE MONEY FOR WATER WELL

During the school year, Argyle Intermediate School 4th graders raised more than $7,000 to support drilling a water well in a remote Sudan village in need of clean water. And that well was recently completed this summer! The well is now highlighted with an Argyle Intermediate School stamp in the concrete.
