MEDICAL RESERVE CORPS

Students interested in the medical field and public health have been volunteering with the Denton County Medical Reserve Corps. This program was established after September 1, 2001. Currently, volunteers are helping with COVID-19 efforts: answering calls from residents and helping at test sites. Interested in volunteering? The police department is in need of N95/KN95 masks and cloth masks. They have enough surgical masks. The N95/KN95 and cloth masks are needed for police officers and civilian staff to be worn anytime they come in contact with the public. If you are able to donation or make masks you can drop them off at the police station or contact Kristy Bleau, admin for the Lake Cities Area Buzz Facebook group.
