MOVIE IN THE PARK

Lake Cities is hosting its free event, Movie in the Park on December 4th. They are offering a free screening of the 2018 version of the Grinch. LAKE DALLAS ISD RELEASES SAY SOMETHING ANONYMOUS SYSTEM

Lake Dallas ISD is taking a stand to eliminate danger of any kind in their school systems. Lake Dallas ISD has released the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System which allows anyone involved in Lake Dallas ISD to submit secure, anonymous safety concerns to help someone who may hurt themselves or others. BOARD NAMES DR. SHORR HEATHCOTE AS CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

The Board of Trustees in the Lake Dallas Independent School District has given their approval of Dr. Shorr Heathcote as the new Chief Administrative Officer. Dr. Heathcote will provide operational assistance by managing strategic projects while also leading key District initiatives in her new role. HOLIDAY LIGHTING FESTIVAL

Denton is hosting their 31st Annual Holiday Lighting Festival on Friday, December 3rd, on Denton’s Historic Square. You can enjoy a contact-less photo with Santa for $5. They will also be hosting once again their Elves Shelves Toy Drive. Toys received will be distributed to families needing assistance during the Christmas season in Denton County.

DENTON COUNTY WOMAN TURNS 100

Ms. Dorothy Webb, a member of Denton’s very own Senior Center, turned 100 years old on November 9th. Dorothy enjoys exercising at the senior center and can also be found mowing the yard, patching fences, or building things. Dorothy also enjoys taking her long-haired Chihuahua, Heidi, on a walk every single day. Her secret to living to 100 is to stay busy, work hard and do what you have to do. LDISD BOARD NAMES TRAVIS L. WADDELL EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF CTE AND ADVANCED ACADEMICS

The Lake Dallas ISD Board of Trustees has given their approval of Travis L. Waddell to become acting Executive Director of Career and Technical Education and Advanced Academics.
