ROTARY TAKES OVER THE HIGH SEAS: Cross Timbers Members Cruise to Cozumel to Deliver Backpacks and Supplies to Local Schools.

The Cross Timbers Rotary Club embarked on their annual trip to Cozumel on February 16th, this time on a Royal Caribbean Cruise. The brainchild of member Ginger Eads, this trip has become a tradition since 2020 This year, International Chairperson Stacey Miller wanted to give back to the community of Cozumel in a special way To do this, she coordinated with the Cozumel Rotary Club, Club Rotario de Cozumel, to find out what items they needed the most.

The entire club rallied behind this cause, and CTR purchased backpacks and filled them with much-needed supplies, all donated by the members This project allowed all CTR members to participate, even those who were unable to join the cruise In total, they were able to collect enough supplies to fill 45 backpacks

Upon arrival in Cozumel, the CTR members were greeted by representatives from the Club Rotario de Cozume and handed over the backpacks, which were then distributed to the local schools The President of Club Rotario de Cozume, Dora Urbe, expressed her gratitude, saying, "Stacey, thank you so much for your support and love for Cozumel and their children. You and your group of Cross Timbers Club are very kind to bring all the school supplies for our children God bless you and your group!"
