Dear Members, Join us in celebrating our third straight year of achieving record results for the Museum of New Mexico Foundation. During fiscal year 2018–19 (July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019), we generated $10.3 million in earned and contributed revenues, the highest one-year total in the Foundation’s history. We are grateful to our members, trustees, donors and friends for your generous support of the Foundation and the Museum of New Mexico system, which includes four state museums in Santa Fe, eight historic sites statewide and the Office of Archaeological Studies. In this Annual Report issue of Member News, we recognize by name all who contributed to our success in the fiscal year, including Ambassador, Circles and Circles Explorers members, plus our Corporate Partners and Business Council members. We identify donors to the Museum of New Mexico Exhibition Development and Education Funds, as well as members of the Founders Society and Legacy Society. Finally, we tip our hat to supporters of the Centennial Campaign for the New Mexico Museum of Art, the Here, Now and Always Campaign for the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture and the Girard Campaign for the Museum of International Folk Art. Beginning on page 3, we provide a full report on the Foundation’s membership, development, retail and licensing activities during the 2018–19 fiscal year. We are proud to note that Membership and Annual Fund revenues reached $1.6 million, thanks to our 16,000 members throughout New Mexico and across the United States. The New Mexico business community again showed its support with nearly $279,000 in cash and in-kind contributions. Gifts from many generous donors, along with endowment payouts, provided over $3 million in direct support for exhibition development and educational programming throughout the Museum of New Mexico system. This total marks another history-making accomplishment for the Foundation.

“Your support makes possible the world-class programming at our 13 partner cultural institutions,” says Foundation President/CEO Jamie Clements. Photo © Saro Calewarts.

And there’s more. Our four museum shops in Santa Fe broke their own all-time sales record, set just last year, with a new record: $3.4 million in gross revenue during the fiscal year. Our licensing program also had a stellar year with more than $120,000 in revenue and the launch of three new collections. Why do the numbers matter? Because your support makes possible the world-class programming at our 13 partner cultural institutions. It all adds up to enriching experiences for nearly 300,000 visitors to our museums and historic sites annually, including more than 40,000 schoolchildren who participate in educational programs. Thank you for all you do for the Foundation and for the Museum of New Mexico system. Our best wishes to you and your family during the holiday season and in the coming year. Sincerely,

Jamie Clements President/CEO museumfoundation.org 1

Dear Members and Friends, Thanks to your support, our 2018–19 fiscal year was truly remarkable. For the first time in our history, we consolidated our operations at one location. Our new home, where the internationally known sculptor Eugenie Shonnard lived until her death in 1978, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It now features the Robert Nurock Conference Center, named in memory of a longstanding Foundation trustee and benefactor, in Shonnard’s former studio. The Thomas B. Catron III building honors our founding trustee, and the Pettit Family Garden recognizes trustee and former Foundation chair Michael Pettit. Working with the our public partners, we welcomed Los Luceros as our eighth New Mexico Historic Site. These partners also helped secure much-needed appropriations for our museums, historic sites and the Office of Archaeological Studies in the 2019 legislative session. The next chapter in our public-private partnership will bring the groundbreaking of the new Vladem Contemporary and the completion of the Here, Now and Always exhibition renovation at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture. It’s an exciting time to continue building on our accomplishments. We invite your ongoing support and engagement.

The Year in Review Foundation Marks Third Successive Year of Record-Breaking Revenues July 1, 2018–June 30, 2019

Three years. Three fundraising records. All thanks to you. The Museum of New Mexico Foundation salutes our members and donors as the generous sources of our record-breaking revenues for the third successive year. Foundation fundraising between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019 rose to $10.3 million in earned and contributed revenues in support of the Museum of New Mexico system. This total far surpasses previous records of the past two years: $8.9 million in fiscal year 2017–18 and $8.5 million in fiscal year 2016–17. The consistent increase in support is a testament to the relevance of the Foundation’s central role in its publicprivate partnership with the State of New Mexico: to secure private exhibition and education funding for the four state museums in Santa Fe, eight historic sites statewide and the Office of Archaeological Studies. “The Foundation’s growth in earned and contributed revenues over the past three years to the highest in our history is remarkable,” says Foundation President/CEO Jamie Clements. “This is attributable to two things: the passionate commitment of our members, donors and friends, and to the world-class exhibitions and programs presented by our 13 partner cultural institutions that inspire their passion.”

A Diversity of Support Foundation contributions in fiscal year 2018–19 came in many forms and reflected the diverse makeup and interests of our supporters. Sixteen thousand members in nearly 8,000 households together contributed $1.6 million through membership dues from five unique programs—general membership, The Circles, Circles Explorers, Business Council and Corporate Partners—and from gifts to our Annual Fund. Membership revenues enable the Foundation to raise funds, without administrative fees, for our 13 partner

cultural institutions. This means that 100% of every gift is applied to its designated division. Gifts from individuals, fundraising events, grants and endowments topped $3 million. These combined funds supported more than 35 exhibitions viewed by nearly 300,000 visitors; 245 education and outreach programs for more than 40,000 students; and important fieldwork and research done by the Office of Archaeological Studies. Special campaigns designed to fund a range of capital expansions and programming advances throughout the Museum of New Mexico system took center stage during the fiscal year. Especially successful is the Foundation’s ongoing $12.5 million Centennial Campaign for the New Mexico Museum of Art. This fundraising initiative to expand the museum to a second location, the Vladem Contemporary, in Santa Fe’s Railyard Arts District has now reached $12 million. The Vladem Contemporary is scheduled to open in mid-2021. Our four Museum Shops and online retail website— shopmuseum.org—again grew their gross sales to record levels, reaching $3.4 million. The Foundation’s Licensing program added another $120,000 in royalties to our record year. Finally, our Legacy Society members who made a planned gift through the Foundation underscored the importance of long-range giving to the long-term health of the Museum of New Mexico system. Realized gifts from these members generated more than $1.8 million in the fiscal year. In addition to fundraising, the Foundation continued to provide essential support services on behalf of our 13 cultural partners. Services include directing the membership program, operating the Museum Shops, providing advocacy for funding from the New Mexico State Legislature, and managing 31 endowments valued at more than $23 million. As the fiscal agent for the Museum of New Mexico system, the Foundation also processes and distributes nearly 7,500 checks annually.

Advancing Exhibitions and Education Fiscal Year 2018–19 Brings Unprecedented Funding

Fiscal year 2018–19 was an extraordinary year for fundraising at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture—with an unprecedented $1,267,000 raised for education programs and exhibitions. The results point to donors’ ever-growing enthusiasm for the renovation of Here, Now and Always, the museum’s permanent exhibition. The exhibition’s opening in 1997 launched a new model of Native community-based collaboration in exhibitions and education that was soon followed by museums nationwide. The exhibition upgrade again features innovative approaches to exhibition presentation and communitybased education—compelling private donors and public grantors alike to support the project through the Museum of New Mexico Foundation’s Here, Now and Always Campaign. The fiscal year kicked off with news of major support from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), which awarded $460,000 for the exhibition renovation— the largest NEH grant received through the Foundation on behalf of one of its museum partners in over a decade. The funding supports costs of implementing the exhibition’s redesign and fabrication, plus partial costs for artifact conservation, public education, a companion publication, and marketing and public relations. The award also provides $60,000 for a two-year Position in Public Humanities to help develop and implement a community conversation series that promotes public discourse on significant issues impacting indigenous communities today. Confidence from NEH inspired a host of individual contributors to give $260,000 to Here, Now and Always during the fiscal year. “The Foundation is especially proud to have supported the museum in leveraging significant foundation grant funding for Here, Now and Always,” says Foundation President/CEO Jamie Clements. “Thanks to this generous private and public support, Here, Now and Always construction will begin this year with plans to open in 2021.” Other private gifts benefited the opening of eight exhibitions and their complementary education programs during the fiscal year.

today. The exhibition included information on some of the major bird species of the Southwest, examining how important birds have served as a resource for tools, feathers and food. Birds in archaeology—how they are studied and what they tell us about the past—added another vital perspective on the important aspects of birds and their role in our world. October 20, 2018 through September 30, 2019 Beyond Standing Rock Focusing heavily on the events leading up to the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline, this exhibition highlighted the experiences of the protestors who held their ground at Standing Rock. The subject also allowed for an exploration of other encroachments and violations of Native American sovereignty and their impacts on Native health and sacred lands. February 23, 2019 through October 27, 2019 The Brothers Chango: A Tragic Comedy in Two Parts Featuring the work of brothers Diego and Mateo Romero (Cochiti Pueblo), recipients of the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture’s 2019 Living Treasures Award. The combination of Mateo’s lithographs and paintings and Diego’s pottery and lithographs articulated a collective vision of the future for Native peoples. Demonstrating innovative style through social commentary and, at times, humor, the brothers address how to heal communities through a shared experience.

A Vital Gathering Place Exhibitions and education benefited further in the fiscal year from a highly successful Native Treasures weekend. The annual Memorial Day holiday event helped the museum realize record-breaking support of $133,000 for museum education programs and exhibitions. In all, the fiscal year saw more than 35,000 visitors to the museum, including 2,200 students who participated in school tours. All of the year’s accomplishments, says Museum of Indian Arts and Culture Director Della Warrior, demonstrate that “The Museum of Indian Arts and Culture continues to serve as a vital and important gathering place for the community.”

The Bonds of Art and Excellence Dedicated Donors Drive Fiscal Year 2018–19 Visionary mid-century modern designer and folk art collector Alexander Girard took center stage at the Museum of International Folk Art in fiscal year 2018–19, maintaining his role as a folk art rock star among his devoted fans while gaining new generations of admirers. The museum’s focus on Girard’s creative intersection between design and folk art converged in three iconic exhibitions: Alexander Girard: A Designer’s Universe, traveling from Germany’s Vitra Design Museum; Girard’s Modern Folk, on view in Lloyd’s Treasure Chest through January 26, 2020; and the 37-year-old permanent Girard-designed installation Multiple Visions: A Common Bond. Enthusiasm for this late longtime Santa Fe resident, whose 1978 donation of more than 100,000 folk art works transformed the museum, translated to more than $230,000 in gifts to the Museum of New Mexico Foundation’s ongoing $1 million Girard Campaign. These contributions provided the funding that helped bring the Vitra exhibition to Santa Fe and enabled the museum to commence much-needed conservation work on Multiple Visions—including 176 hours of cleaning the exhibition and the replacement of a significant amount of plexiglass. Plans for a definitive new book on this seminal mid-century designer also got underway. “Our supporters demonstrated their own common bond with the museum, allowing us to remain a leader in the arts and culture landscape,” says Museum of International Folk Art Director Khristaan Villela. Foundation President/CEO Jamie Clements adds, “This was a wonderful year, thanks in large part to the friends and donors whose generous support makes Folk Art Museum exhibitions and education programs possible.” Those friends and donors raised $831,000 for four exhibitions and their complementary education programs in the fiscal year. Some 79,000 visitors attended the museum, while 19,000 attended education and public programs, including 9,000 students. The museum also inaugurated three new community education programs: at the Southside and LaFarge public libraries, at Gerard’s House for grieving children, and in collaboration with the Santa Fe Opera’s Pre-K program, The Opera Makes Sense.

2018–19 Exhibition Highlights A Gathering of Voices: Folk Art from the Judith Espinar and Tom Dillenberg Collection This exhibition brought together the various voices of international cultures and living traditions, thanks to another Santa Fe collector whose global folk art collection is a promised gift to the museum. The collection comprises primarily ceramic traditions from Mexico, Spain, France, Hungary, Morocco and beyond, as well as New Mexico santos, Latin American retablos, and metalwork, furniture and textiles from around the world. The unique installation reflected how collector Judith Espinar lives with folk art, animating the objects through groupings that guided the viewer to cross-cultural comparisons of certain motifs, forms or techniques. December 16, 2018 through September 8, 2019 Community through Making: From Peru to Mexico This Gallery of Conscience installation highlights a conversation across borders through three collaborative, 10-day residency projects pairing local artists with artists from Peru. Together, these artists explore how

art shapes healthy and vibrant communities, filling the gallery with video, stories and artworks created by museum program participants during spring and summer 2018 and fall 2019. January 6, 2019 through Summer 2020

More Help From Our Friends The fiscal year also marked the 25th anniversary of the museum’s premier support group, Friends of Folk Art, which has raised over $500,000 for museum exhibitions and education programs during their lifetime. They again demonstrated their fundraising prowess as hosts of the annual Folk Art Flea, doubling their number of attendees and raising nearly $61,000. “The personal bond with folk art runs deep at our museum,” says Villela. “The Friends of Folk Art and all of our supporters prove that every day.” To support the Museum of International Folk Art, contact Steve Cantrell at 505.216.0830 or Steve@museumfoundation.org.

Looking Back, Looking Forward

Fiscal Year 2018–19 ‘A Landmark Year’ Fiscal year 2018–19 marked a 10-year anniversary milestone at the New Mexico History Museum, which was founded in 2009 with a mission of connecting and presenting New Mexico’s complex cultural heritage. As the modern-day bookend to the 409-year-old Palace of the Governors, a National Historic Landmark, the museum’s first decade of representing the state’s past, present and future provided cultural leaders with opportunities to reflect on the institution’s past and to refine plans for what’s to come. “With a decade of experience behind us, we are now exploring ways to maximize the possibilities of this wonderful facility,” says Billy Garrett, interim director of the History Museum. The activities featured during the fiscal year, which brought 63,000 visitors to the museum, offer a variety of examples of how the museum successfully engages and educates visitors. These activities, in turn, underscore the vital role that private giving through the Museum of New Mexico Foundation plays in supporting museum exhibitions, education programs and other public outreach. Gifts for exhibitions and education programs reached $251,000 in the fiscal year to fund seven memorable exhibitions. Their complementary education programs served some 18,900 students from 81 schools.

2018–19 Exhibition Highlights On Exhibit: Designs That Defined the Museum of New Mexico A fascinating look back at more than a century of changing exhibition designs from the four Santa Fe museums in the Museum of New Mexico system. Evolving display and presentation techniques were featured as the bridge between a curator’s scholarship and the visitor’s comprehension, demonstrating how immersive and inviting exhibition design provides visitor enjoyment and education while building the unique character of each institution. October 26, 2018 through September 2, 2019 The First World War Opening on the 100-year anniversary of the signing of the armistice that ended World War I, this exhibition investigated the wartime contributions of more than 17,000 New Mexicans through letters, photographs and objects. By the end of the conflict on November 11, 1918, the lives of 501 New Mexicans had been claimed. November 11, 2018 through November 11, 2019

All told, the year’s activities and improvements set the stage for a host of New Mexico-inspired exhibitions, education programs and public events to come—as well as the opportunities to fund them. “A theme uniting everything is the idea that history can be used to recognize and empower contemporary communities,” say interim director Garrett.

Setting the Stage

Foundation President/CEO Jamie Clements adds, “This was a landmark year for the History Museum and the Foundation. This public-private partnership is what makes the museum a nationally renowned institution with world-class programming. Our donors’ generosity brings it all to life.”

Meanwhile, the fiscal year saw the closure of the historic Palace of the Governors for interior refurbishments, including improved fire suppression, cooling and

The $12.5 million campaign topped $11.6 million during the fiscal year, (and, to date, has reached $12 million). This set the stage for the full realization of the Vladem Contemporary, a second museum location in Santa Fe’s Railyard Arts District focused on collecting, exhibiting and educating the public about contemporary art. Some 685 individual donors moved the campaign toward its final fundraising goal and a planned opening in mid-2021. “These donors are making the Vladem Contemporary a reality for the museum, for Santa Fe and for all of New Mexico,” says Foundation President/CEO Jamie Clements. “Our public-private partnership is what makes the museum a nationally renowned arts institution with worldclass programming.” Forty-four thousand visitors took in eight museum exhibitions in the fiscal year, of which nearly 18,000 participated in complementary education and public programs. The museum’s innovative community outreach programs touched 6,000 New Mexico youth, often by drawing on themes related to exhibitions. “Together these exhibitions presented the breadth and depth of the collection,” says Michelle Gallagher Roberts, acting director of the New Mexico Museum of Art.

The Great Unknown: Artists at Glen Canyon and Lake Powell Using artifacts, photographs, paintings, writings and archival material, the exhibition shared a long history of artist responses to Glen Canyon, a dramatic natural rock formation that in 1966 was dammed and partly submerged under the Lake Powell reservoir to create hydroelectric power. The exhibition’s issues of sustainable living, cultural dominance and the future of Glen Canyon inspired a museum collaboration with Santa Fe Botanical Garden that served 8th-grade students from Milagro Middle School. March 30, 2019 through September 15, 2019 “Private support for the museum’s exhibitions and programs enriches the lives of thousands through the power of art,” Gallagher Roberts says. “Thanks to generous support, the past year was extraordinary.” To support the New Mexico Museum of Art, contact Suzette Sherman at 505.216.1186 or Suzette@museumfoundation.org.

Connecting the Threads of History Fiscal Year 2018–19 Inspires Growth and Achievement The New Mexico Historic Sites connected 67,000 visitors to a broader and more engaging story of New Mexico during fiscal year 2018–19 as site staff promoted individual sites as vital links in a statewide legacy of multicultural life and history. As part of an initiative to share the significance of New Mexico history with visitors in a more comprehensive manner, operations were expanded during the fiscal year. New staff hires included two deputy directors, new maintenance workers, interpretive rangers, collections specialists, instructional coordinators and managers. The growth was bolstered by a groundswell of public-private support. This resulted in $205,000 in private funding raised for the sites through the Museum of New Mexico Foundation, plus $1.85 million in capital outlay funding from the 2019 New Mexico State Legislature. In March 2019, the legislature and Governor Michelle Lujan-Grisham designated Los Luceros, north of Española, as the eighth historic site in the Museum of New Mexico system. The designation came with a recurring $200,000 to support Los Luceros personnel. “After a decade of unsuccessful plans and a questionable future, the unrealized potential of historic Los Luceros finally became a reality,” says New Mexico Historic Sites Director Patrick Moore. All of the state’s historic sites celebrated major accomplishments in the fiscal year, including growth in both attendance and outreach. Highlights include: Jemez: New Mexico Historic Sites and Jemez Pueblo received the Archaeology Heritage Preservation Award at the 2019 New Mexico Historic Preservation Awards. The award honored a community collaboration between Jemez Historic Site staff, Jemez tribal members and volunteers who engaged in a community excavation of Giusewa Pueblo, unearthing more than 20,000 artifacts pertaining to pueblo history. In conjunction with Highlands University Program for Interactive Cultural Technology, the Jemez Visitor Center now engages guests with new interactive displays and attractions. Overall visitation and outreach at the site grew seven percent. Coronado: In September 2018, the American Association for State and Local History awarded Coronado Historic Site and the Friends of Coronado Historic Site an Award of Merit for “Dig Kuaua.” Excavations at the site revealed the first conclusive evidence of the Coronado

Expedition’s mid-16th-century visit to the area, educating visitors about the layout of the ancient pueblo, Native American subsistence activities and Coronado’s role in New Mexico history. Fort Selden: A series of special programs sponsored by the Museum of New Mexico Foundation—including Spring Fling, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day programs, Living History, Chautauqua programs and children’s educational programs—provided new visitor experiences. Bosque/Fort Sumner: Content and design for the Bosque Redondo Memorial permanent exhibition were completed in partnership with Navajo Nation and the Mescalero Apache tribes. The exhibition is scheduled to open in 2020. Lincoln: A new living history program was launched, educating visitors on topics ranging from historic cooking techniques to stories of life as a soldier on the western frontier. Fort Stanton: A new exhibition honored female nurses who served at Fort Stanton during its time as a federal

tuberculosis hospital. Two AmeriCorps groups worked with site staff on critical preservation projects, including renovation of the historic Hidalgo building for use as a bunkhouse. The site saw 15 percent growth in attendance and outreach. Taylor-Mesilla Historic Property: The new Mesilla Plaza Walking Tour provided a different historical context for Mesilla Plaza tourists and visitors to TaylorMesilla property. “While we have accomplished much, this is just the beginning,” Moore says, noting the Foundation’s upcoming $10 million Campaign for New Mexico History, which will partly benefit the sites. “Building on this incredible year from our many supporters across the state and their legislators, we will usher in a new era for Historic Sites.” To support the New Mexico Historic Sites, contact Yvonne Montoya at 505.216.1592 or Yvonne@museumfoundation.org.

A Model Enterprise Fiscal Year 2018–19 Supports Studies of the Past

The Office of Archaeological Studies continued to enrich the public’s understanding of archaeology and New Mexico’s history in fiscal year 2018–19, following an enterprise model that balances goals of financial self-sufficiency with providing statewide public education programs and cutting-edge archaeological research. While the Office’s contract archaeology program funds staff salaries and operating expenses, its robust public outreach and research initiatives rely on private support through the Museum of New Mexico Foundation. The fiscal year generated 140 individual donations for research and education. Those gifts, combined with grant support, added up to $112,000 raised for education programs and research. Over 240 education programs were offered over 140 days during the fiscal year. These spanned 14 New Mexico counties, benefiting 4,700 adults and 2,800 children. Participants learned lessons from New Mexico’s past that are unearthed through the work of staff archaeologists. They also watched demonstrations of ancient technologies, including pottery making, atlatl throwing, and turkey feather blanket weaving, and tried their own hands at these activities, too. national recognition as a public education model. In addition to staff, the program depends on a dynamic volunteer program. Twenty-five dedicated volunteers assisted in public outreach this year. Volunteerism also enhanced research activities at the Center for New Mexico Archaeology, the Office’s home base and the repository for collections representing the state’s vast archaeological heritage. Volunteers logged 2,900 hours this fiscal year to assist staff in researching archaeological collections, in the plasma and radiocarbon dating labs, and in other archaeological analysis tasks. Work on 34 client projects kept staff archaeologists in the field this fiscal year. They monitored the installation of four miles of fiber optic cables in downtown Santa Fe. They also worked at the Palace of the Governors, uncovering 14 walls that help tell the story of the historic structure. These and other activities not only provided vital archaeological information for future generations, they contributed vital funding for future research. The most significant private support this fiscal year again came from the Friends of Archaeology, whose more than 1,100 members raised $31,400 to support its own operations and newsletter. In turn, their investment generated $68,400 in donations for education and research. “The importance of the Friends of Archaeology in supporting our ongoing research and education programs can’t be overstated,” says Office of Archaeological Studies Director Eric Blinman. “The relationships and trust built over the decades of Friends activities also resulted in the realization of bequests to support us in the long term.” Realized bequests this fiscal year reached $100,000. Additional support from endowments enhanced the funding picture for the fiscal year. “All of our generous supporters make our work possible,” Blinman says. Foundation President/CEO Jamie Clements adds: “This public-private support model enables the Office of Archaeological Studies to have a vital impact on our state. The Office should take great satisfaction in providing 28 years of nationally recognized educational programming and in its considerable research contributions to New Mexico archaeology.”

Donors Push Centennial Campaign Closer to Goal Join Us! There is still time for you to help make the Vladem Contemporary a reality. Here’s how: Naming Opportunities Galleries and other spaces at the Vladem Contemporary—including a rooftop terrace and a grand arcade— and at the New Mexico Museum of Art’s 1917 building are available for sponsorship. Artist Portfolio For a gift of $25,000, you will receive a Centennial Campaign Artist Portfolio featuring Landfall Press prints of original works by New Mexico artists Marc Baseman, Harmony Hammond and Diego Romero. Your name will also be permanently recognized in the Vladem Contemporary lobby. Lobby Recognition For a gift of $1,000 to $10,000, you will receive permanent recognition in the Vladem Contemporary lobby. Inscribed Brick Purchase a $250 brick that will be inscribed with your name and placed permanently in the courtyard of the Vladem Contemporary. For questions or to make a campaign gift, contact Suzette Sherman at 505.216.1186 or Suzette@museumfoundation.org.

The Vladem Contemporary moved closer to becoming a reality during the 2018–19 fiscal year as the Centennial Campaign for the New Mexico Museum of Art made extraordinary strides in fundraising. The Museum of New Mexico Foundation started the fiscal year with $8.1 million raised toward the $12.5 million campaign goal, primarily from leadership level donors. As the fiscal year came to a close, the campaign total exceeded $11.6 million—including a significant $1 million gift from the Lannan Foundation in support of the museum and the Santa Fe community. To date, the campaign total stands at $12 million. Several other generous donors also stepped forward to benefit this important new museum space by adding their names to galleries, education spaces and collection areas. In the fall of 2018, the Foundation launched several public marketing strategies inviting museum members and other friends to get involved and give to the project. Gifts of $1,000 to $10,000 brought donors permanent recognition in the lobby of the future Vladem Contemporary. Various Foundation events were held during the fiscal year that invited supporters, business partners and other community members to view the architectural plans for the Vladem Contemporary. A table hosted by the Foundation during the annual summer Art Santa Fe fair shared design plans with additional art enthusiasts, artists, gallery owners and community members. Finally, in spring 2019, the Foundation reached out to the broader cultural community, offering the public permanent recognition on a brick in the courtyard of the Vladem Contemporary for $250. Hundreds of friends, organizations and businesses have participated in this initiative.
