Trustee inductions

When a new trustee joins the museum, it is best practice for them to be given a full
induction to the museum. Ideally, the induction includes a pack of useful information and a programme of meetings with key staff/volunteers and committee members and observation of some activities if appropriate.
The organisation The Induction pack should include the following items as a minimum: The constitution The latest annual report and accounts The business plan List of dates of forthcoming meetings Recent minutes (e.g., last 3 meetings) List of trustees, short biographies and their contact details Information about trustee training and development Organisation structure, list of staff and volunteers, and their roles
