MILI: What is the Drew classic Festival? How did it come about? PIB: my father passed away a couple of years ago. I felt like it was important to keep his name alive. Started doing some thing with the family, gathering the family to eat and chill. She has a nonprofit organization so I started thinking we need to do something bigger with this. I’m a music artist, and I also do other things in the background. I thought to myself what can we do in the music aspect to it. That’s when I add at the music festival. At first it was just called Drew Classic. The first year of the Jewel classic festival, 400 people came out. After that, PIB felt he had to keep this going. The festival has been going strong for six years now. MILI: Where did you first hold this event? PIB: Uniondale, my backyard. MILI: Has the number of artist grown that come to perform at this event? I’m also lowkey, and a crowd favorite so I’m going to give a great show. People going to pop out to see me. What genre do you place yourself in? PG: I make Hip Hop / Rap music, but honestly there are no limitations with my pen you know. I’ve written for many people in different genres, and at any given time I could get in one of those moods to pen a song that wouldn’t fit into the Hip Hop or Rap genres. What is your motivation as an artist? What drives you? PG: My motivation…man I just wanna be the best…a legend. My boys call me the inspiration, playing around, but you know there is truth behind every joke.

No rapper, weed or drank to enhance anything this is all me honestly. You can’t just steal my raps and rap them they gonna know you telling my story. I’m going to make sure it’s a party for all ages ranging from da kids all da way to da grannies! What genre do you place yourself in? YNVG: I don’t have a specific genre for real. I label myself as an artist. I literally do it all. What is your motivation as an artist? What drives you? YNVG: My motivation as an artist is really the people I do it for. I always want to give off good energy, and a vibe when I create… so no matter who u are or where you are from, you will always be able to relate. It could have you feeling sad, happy, or whatever. The fact is, the feeling is there, and I created that. It’s going help push you or motivate you to keep going in life. That’s just the message I’m giving thru the lyrics. That’s not even mentioning the Bop it comes with that’s going to make you dance every trip. One thing about me is you could be a Debbie downer all u want, but isa party when I step in da room. What drives me, is the hate, and envy that I see up close and personal. Also, all of the people who counted me out, and saw me coming up. I’m on the right track.
