In 2023 Musical Merchandisers celebrated its 63rd Anniversary making our company one of the most established and trusted, family-owned and run Musical Instrument Wholesalers in Australia. Our products are available to you via our extensive national retail shop network.

From humble beginnings selling Pianola Rolls door-to-door in the 1920’s, to the opening one of Sydney’s first musical retail shops in Wilson’s Capitol Music Store (1931), and Wilson’s Record Bar (1951), and now the current current day Musical Merchandisers arm which was established in 1960; the Wilson family has been dedicated to the supply of musical instruments for over four generations to Australians nationwide.

Having diversified greatly over the years, we currently hold exclusive distribution of numerous world-leading brands. One thing that remains unchanged is our dedication and focus on music education products to support music learning.

Understanding that education and the student market is the grass roots of our industry, we are even more dedicated to the growth of music in Australia especially after recent COVID circumstances.

Our team of staff share a similar philosophy and dedication. We have a long history of supporting music education initiatives, including sponsoring the NSW School Band Festival, with staff volunteering 2 months of weekends every year for 10 years before COVID times.
