@TheDillonCooper At just 21 years old, rapper Dillon Cooper is already taking the world by storm with his startling combination of fresh beats, lyrical prowess, dynamic, energetic flow and his own brand of cool style. Without a doubt, this New York native is set to become a permanent fixture on America’s musical landscape.

Musicventure 2 Musicventure 2

Who is Dillon Cooper? I’m a rapper and a musician among other things!

Lost Boys, Busta Rhymes, Method Man. I like a lot of music.

How was it like growing up in New York? I grew up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn and growing up in Brooklyn just gives you a mentality that you have to be the best because we go hard.

Your music reminds people more of the 90's HipHop era. How do you feel about that? It’s funny when people say I’m on '90s shit. I say, ‘Cool.’ Cool that I bring that feeling, but that’s not necessarily what I’m trying to do. I can’t recreate '90s hip-hop because I wasn’t a part of 90s hip-hop.

Do you play any instruments? Yea I play the guitar and piano. Did you always know that you wanted to be a Rapper or musician? I mean I got into rapping just by listening to it, my aunt used to listen to rap a lot. I wrote my first rap when I was 12. I started like really seriously rapping and knowing it was what I wanted to do in my senior year of high school. Who were your musical influences? Growing up…The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Guns N Roses, Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Donny Hathaway, Eminem, 50 Cent, Snoop, Drake, Cassidy, Lil Wayne…and loads more! Not to be a cliché New Yorker but I like Biggie, Jay-Z and Big L a lot, The Musicventure 3

Tell me about your time at Berklee College of Music. I went to study guitar performance; I got a partial scholarship from the Sean Carter Foundation, Jay Z’s fund. So there’s my Hov connect! Berklee is one of the best music schools in the country, and it really opened me up to a whole bunch of stuff. I got into more Jazz, some Neo-Soul Jazz fusion, which is dope! What was the process of making your debut Mixtape Cozmik? Cozmik was the combination of so many different things. I wanted to give people a brief introduction into me. It was a long process, from when I knew what all the tracks would be and what I wanted to write, it took about three months to record.

Tell me about your beast coast movement affiliation. I definitely have Beast Coast movement affiliation. The East Coast is the Beast Coast and it has been that forever. So I consider myself a part of the movement, and I’m happy to be part of the new, new of New York and the new, new of the East Coast. It’s a time where hip-hop is coming in really hard and I’m not backing down. I’m coming in all guns blazing. How did you like performing at the Mixery HipHop open event in Germany? It was real! I felt humbled.

What is planned for the future, new projects etc.? I’m working on an EP. It’s going to be live music, so I can showcase my musicality. Also we will be dropping a new video for “Everyday Life” soon! Stay tuned!

@REbSkylarker Born Derrick Avent, Rebel Skylarker is an American rapper born in Newark, NJ and raised in Blakely, GA. He released his debut album ‘I think I‘m signed‘ under his own Rebel Crew Label and with little outside advertisement, the album reached an exceptional 86,000 plays in just under one year‘s time. Rebel Skylarker‘s provocative, militant lyrics have not only set him apart as an up and coming artist in Atlanta, but has made him an undoubted contender in the Music industry.

Musicventure 5 Musicventure 5

Musicventure 6 Musicventure 6

Where Are You From? I’m from Newark, New Jersey originally but I grew up in Blakely, Georgia most of my life.

even visualize the “thug” in their repertoire. You might not see “thug” when you see Reb Skylarker but you can definitely feel it in the undertones of the music.

What is your background musically?

Who inspires you/ your music?

Well, going back and forth from Georgia to New Jersey growing up, I grasped a little bit of the East Coast and a little bit of the Dirty South. I like to consider myself a hybrid artist. How long have you been rapping? I released my first mixtape “Da Come Up Kidd” in 2008. So it has been close to 6 years. How do you define your style? My style is that rugged, raw and militant. I express authority in my music. You can hear it in my voice and feel it in my performances on stage. I am the rebel in command and that is what I put out into the universe. Who influences or has influenced your music? B.I.G, Tupac, Lupe Fiasco, Jeezy, The Roots, Wu Tang, Trick Daddy, Dipset, The Game. You can hear the struggle in their music and Musicventure 7

God & my Rebel Crew. That IS who has really been there for me throughout it all. What are your thoughts on the current state of hip-hop? I like what’s been happening lately! I really appreciate what Kendrick Lamar did for the culture. Hip Hop has been in a state of emergency for a while but the funny thing is, history has a way of repeating itself. Hopefully K.Dot’s challenge will bring that old school vibe and competitive nature back to the industry. How do you separate yourself from other artists? The rebel in me. When you see, hear; touch Reb Skylarker, you sense the rebel pulsating throughout my slim, toned figure. I’m branding in ways so few artists are doing. Rebel Crew, REBEL ATLVNTA, REB Worldwide. Everything rebel!

What is unique about your music? How would you define your style? I can do it all. Listen to “I Think I’m Signed.” Then go check out “Walking Prodigies” on Our City Radio! Even with my latest project, “G.L.O.W Tape” I provided a dense array of music (in since of styles) every single track. I’m not conformed to one type of music. If you could change something in the world with your music, what would it be? Violence in our communities. I want to spread Peace & Skyscrapers throughout the entire world. That is what I represent. Would you ever become main stream to make more money? If my message can be heard globally, My message, then I’d look at the pros and cons. Who would you like to work with in the future? In the near future, definitely Sol Star. They are an amazing band. I also want to work with Ebony Love from Atlanta, Young Jeezy and Slick Pulla. That’s all I can really think of right now.

Tell me about your latest project that you are working on? All I am going to say is REBEL’S WORLD Vol. 1 COMING SOON! Go check out my latest album G.L.O.W Tape at www.REBWORLDWIDE.com

It’s your rebel, Reb Skylarker; Rebel if you’re a G. The Rebel MC! Saying thanks to Music Venture for interviewing the Rebel. Germany what up! REBEL

Where are you from? I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. What is your background musically? I began writing poems in grade school. While I was in high school, those poems evolved into freestyles and song verses. I began recording professionally in college and haven't looked back. Musical Influences & Inspirations? Musically I'm influenced and inspired by creatives. I respect and appreciate people who have ideas and use those ideas to speak to others. I also draw inspiration from my environment. What is unique about your music? The best answer to that question would come from a HevyHitter who listen to my records. How would you define your musical style? One word; "INeverRapped2BCool". I try to listen to my music as if I didn't create it. I try to listen with an unbiased ear. If you ask me, gaVen heVy stylistically is conscious, ambitious, lyrical, positive and street.

If you could change something in the world with your music, what would it be? I'm going to challenge the perception that rhythmic poetry isn't a valued & collectable art. I want to inspire the creation of Hip Hop museums if they don't already exist. I want my music to make people view rap in the same regard as classic paintings and ancient artifacts. I truly believe that rap is an incredible human tool. Would you ever become mainstream to make more money? I create art with the intent of creating conversation. I value my art, but I don't create with commercial intent. Again if you ask me, gaVen heVy is mainstream. The internet evens the playing field. I will continue to strive to reach more eyes & ears everyday. Tell me about your latest project that you are working on? It's an EP entitled "...Dedicated to Her". It'll consist of both original production and a few remakes. It'll be the 1st body of work that I release as gaVen heVy. I'm very excited about it and can't wait to hear how people feel about it. Creatively the project pushes my limits. Topically I'll explore my strengths and weaknesses. It's a conceptual piece.

Musicventure 12

I would like to thanks you guys a lot for the interview. My apologies, I don't have a Twitter at the moment. I respect and support what you guys are doing with the magazine. Much love. gaV

Starting as a DJ, at the age of 17 years old, Jersey City, NJ native DJ YRS Jerzy is next in line as one of the industry’s next big DJ’s. DJ YRS Jerzy which stands for Young Riot Squad is highly influenced by Funk Master Flex, DJ Whoo Kid and DJ Drama. With those fellow DJ’s being heavy hitters in the game, Jerzy speaks on watching them growing up “Funk Flex was just the king in NYC and I couldn’t go a day without hearing him on the radio, DJ Drama Gangsta Grillz series is amazing and I admire how the industry praises him. DJ Whoo is dope too and when G-Unit took off, it was crazy the mixtapes he put out, Jerzy explains.” DJ YRS Jerzy has an impeccable work ethic and with this being said he has a great following with his series “Jerzy’s Evolution” and also “Beats 4 Da Trap” with producer Lex Gunna. The series “Beats 4 Da Trap” is just a collection of hard amplified beats for artists that love that hardcore hip-hop. Jerzy’s Evolution is a series that support indie artist on the rise. DJ YRS Jerzy indeed has many things under his belt and for his great hustle, it has lead him to get down with independent label SKE Records out of Philadelphia. DJ YRS Jerzy speaks on the situation “Getting down with Q The Question and Trel Mack was a blessing, those two saw my crazy work ethic. After I had Q The Question host Jerzy’s Evolution and the impact it made, me getting down with SKE Records was a given.” With that being said with the SKE Records movement, DJ YRS Jerzy is head man for promotions at SKE Records. Aside from being a young DJ on the rise, Jerzy also manages up and coming artist Chox-Max as well. Speaking on the artist he explains “I see the talent and both those dudes are talented, as I DJ I have an ear for music and will push them to the top.” DJ YRS Jerzy is a household name on the rise and history is indeed in the making, Young Riot Squad is what it is. multitask to make my craft even better. What are your thoughts on the current state of hip-hop? I think that it needs to go back to the lyrical era and i feel like my artist Chox-Mak is one of the up and coming artists that will actually help change the game. Everything is just about club music i don't really consider that Hip-Hop. I;m not saying i hate club music but i would just like to see more people out here that can actually rap and tell an actual story. How do you separate yourself from other DJ's? I do my own thing i don't follow the crowd i am up on alot of dope artists that are underground and need to be heard. There is alot of talent out here and i am looking to find them and work with them. If i hear a song i like i will reach out to the artist and see what we can work on. I just want to salute all of the DJ's supporting me and my artist Chox-Mak we are going to make everyone proud real soon. Would you ever become mainstream to make more money? I want to work with anyone about there grind if you are hardworking i will support you. If i see you have some sort of buzz and grind i will work with you. Where are you from? I was born in Cleveland Ohio.I was a military brat so I've been a few places but I spent most my childhood in Jacksonville NC aka Jax City. This is my home, most of my family is from NC so it's only Right that I rep North Carolina.Big UPs to the city that made me tho Cleveland. What is your background musically? Growin up my family tried to keep us in church, mainly because my parents are devout Christians but also to try to keep us outta trouble. So I sang in the choir by force (laughs) but I also took music classes throughout my school days.I fell in love with hip hop when I was about 5 years old but I have listened to all kinds of music excluding country. Most people don't know I was in a rock band on some Travie McCoy type tip but it didn't last long.Ive always had a love for music since I can remember. How long have you been rapping? I've been rappin as far as writin since 9 years old.Ive been recording and performing since about 16 or 17 years old.My older brothers did it growin up they were like my real role models cuz I hated my Dad.I know how that sounds but its real.So I got spittin

from my brothers both were very dope in their time and probably both still are. How do you define your style? I define my style as "No Style".I know it sounds cocky but my mindset is "anything you can do,I can do better".I try not to limit myself to much when it comes to spittin but I do have places I draw the line.So if I had to put my own stamp on my style I would say "ultimate versatile". Who influences or has influenced your music? My brothers first and foremost,Big L,Nas,Jeezy,D Block, I could keep goin but I would say these are the top that had a lasting impact on me as far as Makin good music with substance.Jeezy does talk about the street life although I never sold white I have been in the trap and made my rounds.Everything I speak has some form of reality to it.The other cats instilled that need to be lyrical at all times so I strive to do that no matter the concept or beat selection.

Musicventure 20

Who inspires you/ your music? Really my kids and my family inspire me.I wanna be great for them so they know even if I wasn't-the richest dude I was one of the many dope artist of my decade.also people who don't have the outlet.Dope artist that you never hear about or weren't alive long enough to be what they were supposed to be to the culture What are your thoughts on the current state of hip-hop? I think it's better than it was a few years ago.Its a balance in the game rt now u have your "turn up rap/ Molly music" and then u have the lyrical side.I believe it's a good balance Kendrick Lamar got hottest artist in the game on MTV and went platinum where a lot of other artist that have hot club and radio records barely went gold.I think I can live wit it.I listen to and create all kinds of hip hop.If something is hot it's hot. How do you separate yourself from other artist? I think my work ethic and the fact that I am willing to step outta my comfort zone is really what separates from others.I try not to limit my creativity and my sound to.Most artist don't do that because they all have a particular sound that works for them.I want to be so to speak "the first" to drop an Musicventure 21

album on both sides of the spectrum and it be really successful.I m pretty sure I won't be the first to do it but I want to make a difference with what I show to the masses. What is unique about your music? How would you define your style? I feel like I make joints that everybody can enjoy.i try to be as different as possible on every track and touch on so many different subjects.I really can't define my style the best thing I can say is 90s Flow an individual and I make what I feel at the time If you could change something in the world with your music, what would it be? I just wan everybody to enjoy life.I would say legalize Marijuana. Im an avid smoker and nobody wants to hurt nobody when their high.No deaths have ever been directly related to it and its just not as bad for you as alcohol and cigarettes.I talk a lot about my girl in songs.

Would you ever become mainstream to make more money? Of course.I have a family and I want to make the best life for them possible. This is my job ,the lil 9 to 5 jus pays the bills for now so of course I want to move up in the company.I would prefer to stay indie or just sign a distribution deal with a major label. Who would you like to work with in the future? K.Dot,Joey BadA$$,Action Bronson,D Block,Dizzy Wright,Joe Buddens, and anybody that wants to work with me.I really want to link with 9th Wonder,Premier, and the Alchemist for some production. But I'm the type of dude if you rock with me I rock with you. Tell me about your latest project that you are working on? Right now of course I'm still workin on singles but its all about Cross Colours and Starter Jackets. Its a mix tape that me and my manager/ business partner DJ YRS Jerzy have been planning.I've already almost finished recording.Got a few surprises in store and I'm sure my fans supporters and family will enjoy this tape. Its on all early 90s instrumentals.I feel like it personifies my style and where I'm goin with my music.

@NolanTheNinja

Musicventure 23

Nolan The Ninja Nolan Chapman, commonly known as ‘Nolan The Ninja’, is a 21-year old recording artist & producer from Detroit, MI. Hailing from the hometown of likes such as J. Dilla (Slum Village) & Eminem, the young ninja maintains a pressure-free determined path through his own style of recordings & instrumentals. With influences such as Q-Tip (A Tribe Called Quest) & Redman, Nolan delivers a special blend of two different “generational rap” styles; vintage & modern day. Through his rhymes & beats, he manages to display his self-acclaimed “vintage vibrations” while holding attention to that of the current era. But, the “vintage vibration(s)” is nothing but a derivation from his genuine love for the culture of hip-hop. He not only shows the love in his music but he’s active in the culture’s tradition(s) as well. For instance, he visits Hello Records (a record shop located in Detroit’s “Corktown” area) at least once a week. During his visits, the emcee & producer seeks for vinyl records to purchase for assistance with his beats; samples. Other than diggin’ for dirty records, the 21-year old has made a name for himself on Detroit’s local hip-hop scene. He has performed at several venues such as Saint Andrews Hall, The Old Miami, The Magic Stick, etc. He has also received co-signs from wellknown underground hip-hop names such as Guilty Simpson & Nick Speed. Ultimately, Nolan The Ninja is a promising placement within the genre of hip-hop. Through his words & production equipment, he’s bound to create a legacy for himself as well as the forthcoming musical minds of his hometown. Where are you from? “I’m from Detroit, MI.” What is your background musically? “Growing up, my eyes were always to the television & my ears were always to the radio. In fact, my first words were from “Hip Hop Hooray” by Naughty by Nature. I just knew all of the classic music videos, songs, etc. My mother played a huge part in what I heard as well. She had all of the ill sh*t from 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me to Kenny G. Primarily, I learned a lot from her while riding in the car with her on the way to school every morning.” How long have you been rapping? “Eh, it depends on how you look at it. Let’s say, 5 years?” How do you define your style? “I would describe it as immortal or inferior.” Who influences or has influenced your music? “A Tribe Called Quest, Biggie, Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, etc.”

Musicventure 25

Who inspires you/ your music? “Ah, there are so many outlets for inspiration. It depends.” What are your thoughts on the current state of hip-hop? “It’s slowly improving. Nonetheless, we’re in totally different state of music. You have people who don’t know if they’re rockers or rappers. One thing that I love about the current state of music is the endless possibilities for success. Back in the day, you’d barely see an indie artist on television. Now, you’re bound to see an indie artist more than a major artist. For example, I saw Chance The Rapper on 106 & Park last week. I felt proud as if I personally knew him because he’s proving that even with only a few people on your team, you can achieve just as much as an artist with a major label backing them up. Ultimately, I’m looking forward to see what the future brings.” How do you separate yourself from other artist? “I do what the f*ck I want to do. Nowadays, people seem to compromise their self-respect for temporary attention. To me, that sh*t is pathetic. I truly believe that if you have confidence in yourself

& stay dedicated to your vision, people will follow you. All it takes is patience as well as persistence.” What is unique about your music? How would you define your style? “Musically, I present a vibe that’s absent. Today, everybody wants to be the smooth chilled-out rapper with a cool image attached. I say, f*ck all of that. I have special words from the heart & they will be presented in a special manner. As I’ve stated earlier, my style would be defined as inferior. When I rhyme, I’m aiming to chop a n*gga head off as if I’m an actual ninja.” If you could change something in the world with your music, what would it be? “I just want to encourage people to be themselves.” Would you ever become mainstream to make more money? “Eh, I don’t think about money. It’ll come one day, though.” Who would you like to work with in the future? “Ah, there’s so many. I think that a cut with DJ Premier would be ill.” Tell me about your latest project that you are working on “Currently, I’m working on my second solo effort. The title of it is, The Ill Sh*t. It’s a huge improvement from my debut project, NinjaTown. The beats are much better, the rhymes are more polished & most importantly, the sound is more enhanced. I’m hoping to release it within the next 4-5 months but I’m not rushing anything so I can’t make any promises.”

@RoZaeMac

RoZae Mac is a new hip-hop artist from Jacksonville, NC. He currently attends college at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Always being an avid lover of music in younger years, he began writing and recording music with friends his freshman year of college. Lately he has been putting in a lot of time into his musical craft to become a force in the NC hip-hop underground scene and one day bigger! He recently released an EP entitled A Day in the Life.

Musicventure 27

Where are you from? The 910! Jacksonville, NC. PG Road What is your background musically? I was raised on all types of different R&B and Hip-Hop music. My mom and pops played it all from, Al Green to BIG and Pac. I actually love ol school R&B more than anything. I'd make music like that if I was capable. How long have you been rapping? As a kid I played around writing rhymes but I didn't take it serious. I remember getting to high school and jumping in cyphers at Friday night football games. People were feeling my lines, I just never ran with it. Once I got to college I made some tracks with my homies and next thing I knew I was buying studio equipment and I've been at it since. How do you define your style? My style was somewhat unpredictable at first, because I like so many different forms of rap. I tried a lot of em out too. 90's hip-hop is untouchable in my eyes and it's mad smooth! I'm starting to inherit that sound. Overall though I'd just say my style is smooth.

Who influences or has influenced your music? All my favorite Hip-Hop artist are my influences; Dom Kennedy, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Ab-Soul, Tupac, Big Sean, Wiz & Curren$y. Although I'm from the south I love the traditional NY and Cali vibe. Who inspires you/ your music? I'm inspired by life experiences, and challenges. Most people want to hear "real" music, so I give them my "real" life. What are your thoughts on the current state of hip-hop? Hip-Hop has been amazing recently. A lot of great tapes and albums have been released. Cam's tape was bananas, and I feel like albums are actually worth money again! Get Rich or Die Tryin' was my first album, so I'm a tough album critic in my opinion. The competition aspect has been bigger this year too. The sixteens are a lot better without all that buddy buddy talk and features on every song. The only problem I have is that I believe a lot of the right people aren't getting shine, but that's another topic.

Musicventure 28

What is unique about your music? How would you define your style? A lot of artist make what people want to hear, and I just make what I want to hear honestly. Just shit that I consider cool, and I can smoke to basically. Not really unique but it's me. If you could change something in the world with your music, what would it be? I haven't thought that far down the road honestly. If anything I'd want people to support their local artist. The locals making a lot of dope shit, but people "too cool" to listen I suppose. Would you ever become mainstream to make more money? Yea of course. I want my fam to be straight. If I can make money doing what I love I'm definitely taking advantage of the situation. Who would you like to work with in the future? Jhene Aiko of course. Her voice is amazing, and she's perfect...so yeah ha. Ab-Soul, Dom Kennedy, Hov, R. Kelly, Gucci, Wiz, of course Spitta...man the list goes on! Tell me about your latest project that you are working on Well I'm just building an archive right now. I just dropped an EP for the listeners called "A Day in the Life" and people are feeling it. Today I actually had a meeting to plan a visual for a song of the EP, but I won't say which yet. It's a mixtape coming from me before the summer for sure, but right now I'm just in the planning process. Best bet is for everyone to stay tuned to the Twitter for updates. My Twitter is @RoZaeMac by the way.

Where are you from? Mississauga, Ontario aka Canada if you didn't pass geography. How long have you been rapping? I've been free styling for as long as I can remember but I actually started making songs with concepts and hooks in 2012 Who influences or has influenced your music? My biggest musical influence is the Notorious BIG. He always had the craziest rhyme schemes and his flow was flawless. Tupac is the realest but Biggie rapping wise will always be #1 in my eyes. And also, huge fans of Andre 3000, Eminem, Jhene Aiko, Lauryn Hill, Nas, Kendrick. I could go on forever. Who inspires you/ your music? My mom, my family as a whole and life in general

we've been hearing on the radio the last couple of years. True MC's are making a comeback. How do you separate yourself from other artist? By trying to stay as original as possible. I always try to come up with new flows, new concepts and reinvent myself every time I write something. I've been influenced by so many great artist, I want people to be inspired by me and look at me as an influence What is unique about your music? How would you define your style? I am a big fan of story telling. I was always intrigued on how artists could paint a picture with their words so I worked relentlessly to make sure I could do the same. I feel like thats whats missing nowadays. Everybody can write a rap but can you tell a story?

What are your thoughts on the current state of hip-hop?

If you could change something in the world with your music, what would it be?

I like the direction its going; rappers are being forced to really start rapping again. None of this mainstream commercial bullshit

I just want to make a change and inspire people like Tupac. He's been gone all these years yet his message is louder than ever. Musicventure 36

Would you ever become mainstream to make more money? I wouldn't go to the mainstream, I would let the mainstream come to me. I know I can be who I am as an artist and not have to sacrifice my art in the process. I'm all about creating a legacy and you can't do that with mediocre music. Nothing but classics Who would you like to work with in the future? Definitely Drake since he's from my hometown. I'm in love with Jhene Aiko, I would love to work with her on some stuff. I've been a fan of the whole TDE movement from the beginning so I would be glad to work with anyone in that camp. I'm feeling Joey Bada$$ and the Pro Era movement, I'm sure we could make some good music together. Tell me about your latest project that you are working on I'm working on my first independent album; releasing it sometime in 2014. I don't want to put a date on it but hopefully in the Spring or Summer time. I'm really excited to put that out, people are definitely going to hear the progression from my first tape. And I'm also helping WXLLIE wrap up her debut EP. Y'all are going to find out who that is real soon.

@thatfadedkid Where are you from? I’m originally from Pontiac MI, but moved to Auburn Hills MI when I was six and been here the last sixteen years, I just call it “The Burbs” What is your background musically? I’ve always been a fan of music as long as I can remember, my mom has always been doing things with our church musically, and I have two older cousins that are local legends where I’m from (OneBeLo & Ro Spit). I’ve always been a fan of their music ever since I really understood punchlines/metaphors. How long have you been rapping? I’ve been writing lyrics on and off since like fourteen, but been taking it more serious for the last year and a half since starting a group with my homies Hippie Life J, and George Chilliano. Together we’re “The Burbs”.

I’ve been writing lyrics on and off since like fourteen, but been taking it more serious for the last year and a half since starting a group with my homies Hippie Life J, and George Chilliano. Together we’re “The Burbs”. How do you define your style? That’s a good question haha, but if I had to define my style, I’d define it as “Laid Back Fresh”. Of course I have to work hard to come up with Musicventure 41

good tracks, lyrics, etc. but with my more mello style beat selection and mello attitude that’s how I come off on the beat, just laid back talking about the events that have occurred in my life. Who influences or has influenced your music? I have two different categories when it comes to my influences from the business aspect definitely Diddy, Hov, and Birdman. I love their hustle from nothing to something. From the “I’m going to do me and stay true to myself aspect” have included Pharell, Curren$y (especially), Ro Spit, and OneBeLo. I love how they stay true to their ethics and morals and have able to reach incredible heights (not to say that Diddy, Hov and Birdman didn’t). What are your thoughts on the current state of hip-hop? I feel like there is a lot of BS in Hip-Hop and feel at the same time it’s a lot of groovy music. To each his own right? Haha, it really depended on what you like there’s a artist that should get you right.

How do you separate yourself from other artist? To some it up I’m just real and can make good music at the same time.

to be the perfect deal on some Curren$y/Warner Bros. deal stuff. Though $pitta isn’t mainstream, he’s with a big label.

What is unique about your music? How would you define your style? My beats are very unique, though I’m still getting my feet wet in getting my name out their, locally there are a lot of rappers on the grind and you will be able to say “Oh that sounds like something thatFADEDkid would rap on, is this him” before I even spit a first verse or hook. I have a lot of great producers in my corner that get me and what reaction I’d get to a beat. Salute to George Chilliano, and Matcy P!

Who would you like to work with in the future? The list goes on with who I’d like to work with from younger cats making noise like Rockie Fresh and Casey veggies, to the OG’s of Hov, Wayne, Snoop. But let me work with Curren$y and Pharell and I’d feel like I made it haha.

If you could change something in the world with your music, what would it be? If I could change one thing with my music it’d be to have people understand you can do whatever you want just by being yourself! Would you ever become mainstream to make more money? If the label didn’t try to change me in anyway sure, it’d have

Tell me about your latest project that you are working on I’m actually in the works of working on two projects; my group “The Burbs” and I are working on our second EP. And I and working on a solo project, dropping a few solo tracks where I have 100% control over as I try to continue to build a solo fan base that can be moved into the burbs and vice versa. http://www.datpiff.com/The-BurbsThe-Burbs-Ep-Vol-1-mixtape. 453319.html https://soundcloud.com/th3burbz/statefacts-thatfadedkid-ft https://soundcloud.com/th3burbz/thatfaded-kid-50-50-grind-ft Musicventure 42
