Tour 1 Muskoka’s Rugged Coast: Big Chute & Georgian Bay Big Chute Marine Railway-Big Chute boasts a marine railway which transports boats over land in a huge, open carriage. Lift or descending boats 17.3 m (58 feet). There is a small museum about the old hydro electric dam that is on the same site.

See Muskoka’s most westerly lighthouse - From Cedar Spring, you take the Huron Trail north and it veers west to meet the Georgian Trail. From the junction, it’s a short walk south on the Georgian Trail to get to the best viewing location for the Brebeuf Lighthouse (which incidentally is the same location where the rangelight on the steel tower is).

An artist, woodsman, guide and dreamer, whose brilliant vision defined the Canadian wilderness and captured the majesty and many colourful moods of Algonquin Park. The project was a two year commitment on behalf of sculptor Brenda WainmanGoulet.
