I have recently returned from a two year stint travelling Europe and tending busy bars in London and Edinburgh. I get such a kick out this line of work that there is no doubt that I will continue to broaden my experience in my native town of Melbourne. With a sound knowledge of spirits and beers and extensive experience mixing and inventing cocktails, I'm easy-going and practically minded. I have the ability to work using my initiative and am very keen to take on extra training. High standards in the product, the service and the bar's ambience are always upheld. Employment History ~May 07 - January 08 The Outhouse Bar, Edinburgh Assistant Manager/Cocktail Bar Attendant. As second in charge I gained valuable team and stock management skills. I dealt with all the money side of things i.e. banking cash-up and wages. It was also at this bar that I developed my competence as a mixologist. ~December 06 - April 07 Bella Italia Restaurant, Edinburgh Waiter Friendly and professional bar and table service. I also participated in a wine appreciation course.
