Turn back time… 1909 – Six Omaha businessmen took out a charter to launch a health insurance company. In less than a year, the company floundered and they convinced Dr. C.C. Criss to buy the charter. Criss and his wife, Mabel turned around Mutual Benefit. Within two decades of its founding, Mutual of Omaha was the largest company of its kind in the world.

Wild Kingdom was a new foray into sponsorship created by producer Don Meier and V.J. Skutt. On top of building brand awareness, it was also a revolutionary marketing platform marrying the show with agent follow ups. Agents would go door to door Monday morning asking “did you see the show about the python last night?”

Technology and DVA The Digital Verification of Assets now pulls only the previous 60 days for your client when using this tool through Mutual of Omaha Mortgage mobile app. Benefits for Using Digital Verification of Assets • No paper chase. Radically reduce the number of email exchanges, phone calls and time delays. • No second requests. A digital report allows you to pull updated information from multiple institutions at the click of a button throughout the origination process. Faster. With digital verifications come with bank validated data. There’s no altering or editing of documents. • Data security. The reality is sending statements via mail, email, or fax, is riskier than permissioning access to share data online. • Give Consumers what they want!

Make them aware they’ll go through an online verification process. Discuss with them the various accounts they might want to include. They’ll start from a link in an email or in the PoS.

They’ll launch the online process where they’ll securely login to their financial institution(s). Remind them to have their credentials ready for each financial institution. Suggest they login to their financial institution(s) beforehand to verify their credentials.

Next, they’ll select which accounts to include from one or more financial institutions. They’ll review the selected accounts and when finished click submit.

Benefit Information Health Benefits Associates are eligible for benefits the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Medical: Our Medical Plans are through AETNA and United Healthcare. We offer the following plans: * Amounts are for Individual Coverage • AETNA PPO 750: $3,250 out of pocket max, $750 deductible, 15% coinsurance for basic services • AETNA PPO 1750: $5,250 out of pocket max, $1750 deductible, 15% coinsurance for basic services • UHC HMO Signature Value: (CA Only) $1,500 out of pocket max, $0 deductible, $25 Copay for PCP visits. • UHC HMO Advantage: (CA Only) $3,000 out of pocket max, $0 deductible, $20 Copay for PCP visits. • HSA Plan: Paired with High Deductible Health Plan. $3000 deductible. Dental: Our Dental Plans are offered through United Healthcare (UHC) • PPO: Covers 100% of Diagnostic/Preventative/Basic Care (After $50 deductible), 40% Major Services • Our HMO Plan (CA Only) has copays ranging from $0 to $359 dollars depending on the services provided. 401K Benefits Provider: Our 401K Provider is ADP. Mutual of Omaha Mortgage offers both traditional and Roth 401K options. Contribution Waiting Period: Eligible to contribute into the plan following 90 days of employment. Company Contribution: Mutual of Omaha Mortgage matches 50% of the first 8% of associate contributions. Contribution Limits: We do not limit contribution into the 401K account. Please note IRS limits still apply (2019 limit is $19,000) Vesting Schedule: Four year vesting schedule for Employer Contributions, 25% per year of employment.

Jeffrey Gennarelli Athletics have always been important to me. From a young age I found myself captain of nearly any team I played on. In college I was an All American 1st Division Track and Field Record Breaker—and still hold a record today. I attended a smaller school—Eastern Illinois University. We often found ourselves competing (and winning) against much larger universities such as UCLA, the University of Texas, and many others. Today I channel that spirit of competition into leading a company that works just as hard at competing against much larger financial institutions. We win by providing a superior customer experience: flexible lending solutions, delivering our communications with the highest degree of professionalism from the entire team, extreme clarity and no surprises.


Chris Leyden | Chief Operating Officer Christine Leyden is the Chief Operating Officer of Synergy One Lending, Inc/ Mutual of Omaha Mortgage. She is responsible for the leadership and strategic execution of overall credit administration (credit, risk, underwriting, processing, closing, post-closing, compliance). Chris has over 25 years of residential lending experience, 15 of those in a highly regulated banking environment. Prior to joining Synergy One/ Mutual of Omaha Mortgage, Chris was a founding member of BBMC Mortgage and played a key role in building a company from the ground up based upon principals of creating a superior customer experience.

Patriot’s Charity Initiative Mutual of Omaha Mortgage donates $125 to one of four veteran’s charities for each closed loan. This initiative brings awareness to these great organizations as well as provides crucial financial support.

What Does Your Client Have To Do? At closing, your client will receive a form where they can select from one of the four charities in which we have partnered. Mutual of Omaha Mortgage will donate $125 to the selected charity for each closed loan. We have found this helps bring awareness to these great foundations as well as providing crucial support. Please note: This donation is not tax deductible for the customers benefit.

What Are The Charities?

The USO’s mission is to enhance the quality of life of the U.S. Armed Forces personnel and their families and to create a cooperative relationship between U.S. military communities and involved or supporting civilian communities.

The Mission Continues serves as a framework for United States military veterans to redeploy in community service tackling issues ranging from ending chronic homelessness to eradicating child hunger.

The Headstrong Project provides cost-free, stigmafree, and bureaucracy free mental healthcare to Iraq and Afghanistan veterans via partnership with Weill Cornell Medical College.

The fourth charity will rotate every few months. Branch managers at each Mutual of Omaha Mortgage location will have the opportunity to select a local Veteran Service Organization to be the beneficiary of our client-directed donations.
