HAND EMBROIDERY COMMISSIONS AND PROJECTS
Hand embellished and embroidered stockings incorporating a variety of hand-stitching techniques including beading and knotwork. These were part of a capsule collection that I designed and made to order for individual clients.
Blackwork needlework project- overleaf Crewelwork and Goldworkall completed as part of a course in technical hand embroidery at The Royal School of Needlework.
Concept embroidery design development and production for womenswear label ‘Draw in Light’ Autumn/Winter 2014/15. The brief was a ‘Witchcraft Hex’ graphic.
Beading production for ‘Sam and Spence’ eveningwear. Hand beaded feather design onto silk chiffon for the waist of an eveningdress.
Design and production of hand embroidery on 19th century sailors bags for ‘Alice through the Looking Glass’. The brief was ‘sailors embroidering by candlelight, drunk on rum’ for this I produced a series of nautical themed illustrations that were inspired by sailors tattoos and stitched in a ‘naive’ style.
