Beautiful country estate on 6.4 acres of rolling countryside bordered on three side with trees.

The house was intentionally set back on the property for seclusion and privacy. The home has a midwestern feel with a touch of “Street of Dreams,” all designed to satisfy the need to have a place to live and, for some, to have a place to vacation “in place.” Because we are on high ground, there’s no danger of flooding and it’s likely that no building will occur near the property due to the distance and roughness of the terrain on the east, west, and south sides.

When you enter on the west side (the main entrance) you will enter a double-door vestibule that if you extend your arms out as far as you can, you can twirl and feel the space. Looking east into the great room, you will see the fireplace extending to the ceiling (about eighteen feet high) and looking south you will see the “simulated” spiral staircase reaching up to the balcony of the great room. The mantle of the fireplace was handcarved by an artist in Brandon, Missouri.

All the plumbing fixtures in the house are made by KWC and will last a lifetime. The tile floor in the kitchen is from Italy. The kitchen was designed with an eye to an engineering term called “time and motion.” Everything was designed for convenience which makes working in the kitchen easy and enjoyable.

Going downstairs to the basement, the first door you see is the cold-room door, an exterior door made to look like a castle door. The cold room has a red slate-looking floor and is especially designed to maintain ground temperature year-round. The cold room has in it the well pressure tank, the built-in vacuum system, two 100-amp electric panels for the house, and the ADT security system. There is an underground line from the cold room to the cottage on the property that extends the security system to the cottage. The well pressure tank provides plenty of pure water for all uses on the property.

Other buildings on the property include the barn (suitable for horses), the cottage which has a living room, bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, bedroom and kitchenette, the cottage two car garage, the shop, and the chicken house. There are also two carports for RV or boat storage on the concrete slab in the secure storage area (14’ x 30’ and 12’ x 30’).
