For the month of September, Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) program will be honoring our Gold Star Mothers and Families who have lost a son, daughter, brother or sister while defending our nation. The last Sunday in the month of September has been proclaimed as Gold Star Mothers and Families Day. This year, Gold Star Mothers and Families Day will be held on September 27th. The SOS program will be honoring our Gold Star Mothers and Families and our Fallen Heroes during different events throughout the month of September. â&#x20AC;&#x153;Honor and Remembranceâ&#x20AC;? quilt flag, flags, wreaths and boots of our Fallen Heroes September 9 - 30 displayed @ Hale Koa Gold Star Mothers and Families Day brunch Friday, September 11 @ Hale Koa 9 - 11 AM Gold Star Families Luau Thursday, September 24 @ Hale Koa Gold Star Mothers and Families Day ceremony Sunday, September 27 @ The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific 1 - 2 PM

The SOS program also hosts monthly support meetings. Families and Friends of our Fallen Heroes gather at the SOS center to provide support to one another.
