THE ENCLOSED THEATRE
“It’s communication- that’s what theatre is all about.”
-Chita Rivera
The idea of enclosed theatre is to provide international visitors from surrounding museums and Sydneysiders from macquarie street to enjoy silent and special moment of performance during the visit without distrations. The main purpose is o disconnect visitors from busy site to recconect with particular performance of time display of Sydney educational and enteraining shows.
Letting site elements like light and ventilation to the building, the program is designed basically in sectional approach and composed with two particular parts: the shell and the frames. Enlosing and revealing strategies are used to provide inside out feeling while experiencing the building. The program is mainly inspired by the Utzon approach of gemotry towards the museum of silkeborg. Without touching the shell of the geometry, the full potential of geometrical spatial experience can be encoutered. Waterdrop shape is mainly inspired by Utzon and adapted the the form into the sound efficiency of theatre and spatial occupation. The art of light travels through the building and spaces can be experience through the building while accessing to the main theatre place.
Enclosed theatre also functions as urban transformer in upmost layer in the sense that the sculptural form of the building shape will allow public to enjoy the program as extended part of domain while the program is being untouched by passerbys who are unlikely to visit to the theatre itself but to enjoy the park alone. Descending to the ground will allow the escape from the busy city urban atmosphere and allow to tranpass to the time travel sense of theatre.

03 PROGRAM SCHEME
Two shells twisting in the centre with frames wrapping around to create negative & positive spaces that allow different light quality in the building as well as dynamic spatial experience with different functions. Circulating around the main theatre space which represents the universe of Sydney history twisting with aboriginal people culture as center space to circulate around to get to the main event space and cafe. Inclining slope to hold up the geometry as well as representing the nature of universe following up the natural solar system and respecting the origin of divine and mortals as Vitruvius ever mentioned while the theatre as the space where communication of what we human can create and achieve under the guidance of divine world.
