Launching or retrieving a boat can be very stressful especially if you’re holding up a queue of other boats and you’re wanting to get to the best spot first, or to market after a tiring day. Any experienced boaty also knows there are inherent dangers involved in launching and retrieving. You can slip on the boat ramp, get your fingers trapped in the winch, a sudden wave may take the boat from your grasp lashing it against the jetty or a croc may nibble your leg while you’re standing in the shallows.
Boatcatch* puts an end to all that. It was designed by an ex-engineer and professional abalone diver, Greg Staples, who knows time wasted on the ramp is time lost on the water. It’s a unique coupling device that allows you to quickly and efficiently launch or retrieve your boat from or to its trailer without setting foot on the ramp even if you’re on your own. Boatcatch vastly reduces the dangers, wasted time and stress inherent in traditional launch and retrieval methods.

The revolutionary launch and retrieval system.
Lifetime warranty. Made of 100% marine grade stainless steel (316) this is an incredibly strong and robust product that comes with a lifetime warranty. With only three moving parts it requires little maintenance and being highly polished Boatcatch is a very attractive accessory to any trailer boat. Locally designed and assembled the Boatcatch comes with all the parts necessary and a very comprehensive and clear instruction manual to help you install it yourself and you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to do so. A special eye is bolted to the vessel and the coupling is attached to the trailer’s bow post. Once fitted it’s ready to use. When about to launch you simply have to prepare by releasing the winch cable from your boat in the car park. You then reverse the trailer into the water. Boatcatch allows you to move around the launch facility or on a steep boat ramp with no risk of the boat moving off the trailer until you choose to remotely pull the release lever while comfortably sitting in your boat. You can then calmly motor off the trailer to begin your day’s boating activities or tie up at the jetty to take on board pasengers, or allow you to move your vehicle off the ramp if you’re on your own.
Boatcatch Key Features: • Faster launch and retrieval • Drive on drive off • One or two man operation • Safer - No more standing on a slippery boat ramp • 100% heavy duty marine grade stainless steel
• Lifetime warranty
At the end of a day on the water you or one of your crew can position the trailer into the water and then you can drive your boat onto the trailer. The Boatcatch will automatically and securely capture your boat. The Boatcatch has a heavy duty pin that locates inside the eye automatically when retrieving and secures the boat upon the trailer until launch is required. Boatcatch is incredibly strong so you can easily drive your vehicle to the car park before having to secure the winch cable. It’s as easy as slipping off a log (or slippery boat ramp if you don’t have a Boatcatch).
Easy to install and use.
Universal mounting system to suit almost any boat. Boatcatch is available in two sizes (small for boats up to 6 metres long and large for boats over 6 metres) and comes with a universal mounting bracket, U-bolts, washers, nuts, pull cord, bow eye and spacer to suit most boats.
Whether you’ve got a small ‘tinny’ boat, a large fiberglass boat or even a cat, you can cut the supplied mounting arm and position the Boatcatch to suit just about any boat and trailer combination like the examples below.
