A Healthy Holiday Season? By Elise Cohen Ho
Is it possible? Can you really enjoy a healthy holiday season? No one will deny that the festive food choices are not always healthful and the motivation to exercise can become scarce. Lest, we forget there is
shared between family and friends. With all this time for celebration, food and seasonal treats it is tempting to throw caution to the wind and not consider our choices. But consider we should as there are not too many of us that really want to gain weight, feel tired and be sick during the holidays. So I ask again, "Can you really enjoy a healthy holiday season?" The answer is easier than you think.
A schedule and a plan will prove to be your best friends. It is time to make a list and check it twice. Write down everything that you need to accomplish during the holiday season including parties, holiday decorating, gift buying and time for yourself. Check the list again. Did you really give yourself permission for time that is truly yours? This is not time to shop, cook or clean but time to exercise, relax and enjoy life.
