CURRICULUM The Royal Rangers ministry utilizes a combination of both print and electronic curriculum components to equip leaders with the best materials available while maintaining an optimum balance between flexibility and availability.

Most of the curriculum is made available online through TRaCclub, our online resource delivery system, while some components are available in print format or eBook for ease of use.

Print Components

TRaCclub includes everything you need to teach the merits and advancement materials for your Royal Rangers ministry, including:

Printed curriculum items include the Royal Rangers Leader Manual and the boys’ handbooks for Ranger Kids, Discovery Rangers, Adventure Rangers, and Expedition Rangers. These books serve as core reference material for all aspects of the Royal Rangers program and are integral components of the leadership and skills development process.

• Weekly Meeting Guides—a complete outline for weekly Royal Rangers meetings from opening ceremonies to closing prayers. • Skill Merit Activity Guides—material for teaching and learning content on a variety of fun topics, such as archery, backpacking, auto mechanics, model rocketry, or basketball. • Bible Lessons—the core of the Royal Rangers discipleship process and the focal point of the weekly Royal Rangers meeting, written specifically for today’s boys and young men. • Leadership Merits—instruction on leadership and teamwork skills with application projects to be completed by the group. • Other Resources—award artwork, recordkeeping materials, supplies checklists, additional devotions, and more.

A Guy’s Journey series of books also serves key roles in the program. A Guy’s Journey to Manhood describes the process by which God develops boys into powerful men of God. It explains how God takes them on an adventure, shapes their character, and equips them for a unique task. This book describes the Royal Rangers core message and is used by leaders and boys at various points in the program. A Guy’s Journey to Servant Leadership can be used when teaching the leadership merits and is also a valuable reference when teaching general leadership principles. Leadership distinctives from all the leadership merits are included in this book for ease of reference, while the leader’s teaching materials are in TRaCclub.
