Al Forno Offers Everything… and More! Some days, you’re running around frantically in an attempt to get everything on your to-do list done. Other days, you have time to breathe, so you can explore and try new things. In both situations, you need a good meal to get you through the day. So where do you go? Answer: Al Forno. Whether you only have a few minutes to grab lunch or you have time to spare, you can expect to enjoy your food (and brighten your day!) at Al Forno. Al Forno has an extensive menu with a wide range of both Italian and American options. We were excited to peruse the
comprehensive menu, but first we simply sat and watched the food connoisseurs craft their creations behind the front counter. It was really fun to see them lovingly knead pizza dough and sprinkle generous amounts of parmesan cheese on steaming dishes. And, of course, it made us hungry! The restaurant’s menu has everything from subs, salads, pizza, and paninis to pasta, chicken, eggplant, and seafood. Abby and I debated for a while on what to sample (so many good choices!), but we finally agreed on one of Al Forno’s most popular appetizers-- eggplant rollatini ($8.95). A generous portion of breaded eggplant, the appetizer is smothered in a flavorful marinara sauce and layered with ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses. If you love classic Italian sauce and cheese, then this starter is perfect for you! Abby and I finished the whole thing because we couldn’t stop ourselves. We usually have leftovers, but it was just too tasty to resist. Once we took that first bite, we had no chance… Next, Abby and I split the chicken francese ($17.95). It’s a lovely dish with subtle notes of lemon, butter, and white wine, and the boneless, egg-battered chicken breast is so tender that you can cut it with a butter knife. If you’re looking for a lighter meal, then you will be pleased with this one. The portion is certainly generous enough to fill you up, but the delicate dish will leave you satisfied, not bloated. Al Forno doesn’t just have delicious dinners, they also have great pizza! Abby and I ordered
