Misty Willis American Made

http://www.mommyof5kidz.blogspot.com/

Featured Collection: American Made

When I hear the phrase "American Made", I immediately think of these two "All American" boys and I finally had the perfect materials to scrap these photos.

Supplies:

2 - Lime Twist “Family” paper 1 - “Stars of Loyalty” paper (2 - 6” x 11”) 2 - “American Flag” Paper 1 - Accessory Sheet (2 - 3“ X 12” cut from right side, one flag fussy cut) 1 - Lime Twist “Wish” transparency frame 1 - “Celebration Banners” paper (4 - 1“ x 12”) 1 - White cardstock (2 - 4 ½“ stars) Also used: brown & black ink, adhesives, jute, pop dots, black pen, hexagon cookie cutter, white paint

Instructions: ink all edges heavily (brown & black ink)

1. Cut pieces as listed above. 2. I turned the sketch clockwise for left side of layout and clockwise for right side of layout. 3. Layer your cut pieces of paper onto your blue bases with all papers aligned with left and right page. Adhere all papers to base. 4. Hand draw barbed wire border. Tutorial: http://mail.dragoart.com/tuts/2530/2/1/11002/how-to-draw-barbed-wire-step-4.htm

5. Create “chicken wire” with white acrylic paint and a hexagon “cookie cutter”. Dab cutter into paint, shake of excess and press to paper like a stamp …no pattern, just have fun! 6. Use silver puff paint for rivets on red paper. Allow to dry. Embellishments: 1. Cut two 4 1/2" stars add stitching with pen. 2. Tie twine around “All American” die cut and add to one star with pop dots. Add “BOYS” to the die cut. 3. Using jute twine, create a “lasso” and hang it from one tip of your star. 4. Hand cut flags and add to remaining star. 5. Trace "allegiance" die cut on the “American Made” tag to cut it down. Add to top of star with flag. 6. Add your photos with transparency on focal photo. Place hand made embellishments and all the stars from the Accessory sheet. 7. Add journaling!
