About There isn’t a parent out there who doesn’t deem his/her baby the most beautiful! That’s how the myMOSTbeautiful.com baby competition came to be in 2015; with the aim of showcasing South Africa’s most beautiful babies aged 0 to 36 months. With the tremendous success achieved in a mere 8 weeks of running the initial trial online competition, we’ve now set our sights on 2016 and will be launching the second myMOSTbeautiful.com/Baby photo competition this year. With the R101 000 cash prizes up for grabs, including a R50 000 first prize, we’ve seen great consumer adoption and loyalty to the brand, even months after closing the competition.

HISTORY In 2015, the first MyMOSTbeautiful.com Baby competition shattered expectations with driving more than 422 000 page views in a period of 8 weeks. myMOSTbeautiful.com launched 1 May 2015 and in that period generated over 94 000 unique visitors to the site – a small feat in itself. Our first competition also received over R1million in publicity.

GOALS Go big or go home! This year we are expanding 5 fold by boosting marketing budget as well as our promise to deliver for our sponsors and charities. Our aim is to reach 20 000 South African babies ages 0 to 36 months.

PROMISE The MyMOSTbeautiful.com Baby team is committed to supporting charitable organisations throughout South Africa and this year we will partner with a local charity. Last year we partnered with the Sarah Fox Children’s Convalescent Hospital who provides much needed healthcare for children living in impoverished communities where access to quality healthcare is non-existent.

THE SECOND MYMOSTBEAUTIFUL.COM BABY COMPETITION IS SET TO LAUNCH IN 2016 The first of its kind baby competition is getting ready to roll for the second time around. This baby photo contest speaks to the mothers of South Africa. Parents can upload their baby’s profile for FREE and add descriptions, video and more images. Voting opens simultaneously with launch and the highest voted baby after 8 weeks will win the enormous R 50 000 first prize! Our celebrity judges will assist us in choosing the winner from the TOP 10. Voting takes place via SMS Shortcodes and there are three price brackets to select from.  R30 for 20 votes  R10 for 5 votes  R3 for 1 vote Contestant Prizes: – 1st Prize – R50 000 – 2nd Prize – R15 000 – 3rd Prize – R8 000 – 4th Prize – R 7 000 – 5th Prize – R 6 000 – 6th Prize – R 5 000 – 7th Prize – R 4 000 – 8th Prize – R 3 000 – 9th Prize – R 2 000 – 10th Prize – R 1 000 Additionally, we’re also giving away 10 x R 1000 cash voter prizes during the run of the competition.


Company Stats The first myMOSTbeautiful.com/BABY contest launched 29 April 2015 and since then we’ve launched the myMOSTbeautiful.com/KID and myMOSTbeautiful.com/PET. The overall results outperformed expectations with over 193 000 unique visitors, more than 21 000 Facebook fans, 919 320 page views and an email database of over 10 000. We’ve paid out more than R300

000 in cash prizes and assisted various charitable organisations.

Market Audience


2016 COMPETITION FLOW The myMOSTbeautiful.com/Baby website and mobile platform offers a seamless experience to the end user. Users will be driven to the website via PR, bulk sms, ambassadors, email marketing, advertising and referrals. Once on the site, the crystal clear navigation and instructions will lead the user to the free registration page where the parent can then share their images, copy and videos. Each entry will be assigned a unique code which will be used in the voting process through sms shortcodes. The voting will continue until we take a short break to announce the TOP 50 voted babies. We reopen voting for a further week in order to find the TOP 10 including the winner. The four judges, including the celebrity judges, will assist with 20% of the votes only at the TOP 10 level. myMOSTbeautiful.com is a member of WASPA and will utilize a preferred provider to manage the sms shortcodes. All voting is audited by our accountants, Marx Gore – chartered accountant (SA).

PRE COMPETITION Market to our existing social following (21 000) and previous entrants (14 500). DURING COMPETITION We will drive awareness through voter prize giveaways, continued PR outreach as per pre-competition, affiliate/partner relationships and an extensive email communication campaign that launches with each new entry into the competition.

POST COMPETITION The myMOSTbeautiful.com team will visit our selected charity partner to do the handover. All results will be summarized, reviewed and made available to our sponsors via our auditors. Prizes will be paid out within 7 working days.

This year we are expanding 5 fold on all marketing efforts and aim to see 5 times more traffic to the site and thus, a higher impression rate on your ads. PUBLIC RELATIONS: Additionally we’ve contracted one of SA’s top PR firms to handle all press related matters and your brand will receive mentions in all PR pieces. ASSETS: We’ve included newsletter signup for your brand within the baby registration page, capitalizing on prime online space to grow your database. Entrants can opt in to YOUR newsletter. Also, you’ll receive the full email and mobile database on completion of the competition in order to run your own promotion/voucher offer (not included with DIAMOND package).For the Diamond package we will create and send out a mailer on your behalf to target this database. We can provide you with a sponsorship badge for your online properties as well as documentation. ONLINE MARKETING: You’ll receive brand mentions as well as external linking. We’ll also publish branded content (blog and Facebook) as per set out in pricing package options. All brand clicks will be tracked and a transparent reporting system will be set in place.

With her children Aenea (2) and Ethan (4), Cindy is surrounded with all things baby on a daily basis and says that the best memories she has are those shared with her children. Cindy is a self -proclaimed ‘happy snapper’ and collects thousands of pictures of her children. “I look forward to cooing over all the beautiful babies entered in the competition,” she says.

SUGA Suga, the presenter of Heart 104.9FM’s afternoon drive show, is one of Cape Town’s favourite DJs. First-time mom to Nelson Raine, who is 9 months old, Suga is a super-mom who juggles radio, voiceovers, production, TV work and now… motherhood.

LOUISE CARVER Louise is one of SA’s greatest music talents. She has released six albums and has had numerous South African hits as well as international recognition. “I am a dog person. Elvis (my Scottish terrier) and Fern (my SPCA Yorkshire terrier rescue) are my happiness – I love our walks in the park and their unique characteristics that make me laugh. I work with as many animal charities as possible to raise their profile and funds. I love working with the SPCA as I believe you have to look after your immediate neighbourhood before you try and tackle the world.”

Louise Carver VANESSA HAYWOOD-SANDES Vanessa Haywood-Sandes is best known as a former Miss SA finalist, TV presenter and District 9 actress. She is very active in entertainment and as well as the sporting world as a professional mountain biker and co-owner of a sports agency. Vanessa adopted her dog Thandi from the SPCA, “Thandi makes me smile and is the light of my life! She loves going for walks on the mountain and beach, and is super protective of me. I can’t recommend a rescued pet highly enough! They are simply the most amazing animals.”
