rusted rockets Do you see what I see? Can you hear the memories? Some would say it’s just a bucket made of rusted dreams, but I see the star dust, I see the moon beams.

There is something magical about the forgotten. It enables a chance of re-discovery. A chance for recognition of a memory, even if that memory is not your own. These forgotten things are visible reminders of how life continues to move forward. A reminder of both the beauty and the wrath of nature.

In the spring these chains of roots bloom with adornments of flowers, but still they grow. Still they know that their thrival is my demise. There are no tears in these eyes for they are gone. All I have are empty sockets and broken glass. Why have you forgotten me? Everyday I sit and I wait. My seats are molding and the grass is growing so high it would seem I was hiding, but I am still here...waiting. I wait for you to see me. For you to remember what we used to be, the places we’d go, and the sights we’ve seen. Everyday I wait. 10 Forgotten Things

These moments of discovery, moments of gratitude for the past, and gratitude for nature become transcendent memories of marvel that change the way we see the world. Most people only see what they see. The physical representation of a life wasted and unsalvagable, but to a child it is magic. We should all strive to achieve that same childlike wonder.
