Krista Cartsens to Participate in the Upcoming World Special Olympics

Mena’s very own Krista Cartsens will be participating in an event of a lifetime in Abu Dhabi, United Arab of Emirates March of 2019. Cartsens will be part of the US Special Olympics team.

Cartsens competed in the National Special Olympics Games in Seattle last July, where she qualified for the World Games in Abu Dhabi. The opening ceremony will be presented live on Thursday, March 14 on ESPN, and the closing ceremony will be televised as well on Thursday, March 21. Cartsens will be participating in a unique three-day experience for athletes to rest and take in the culture of Dubai before Opening events.
