Redeemed Boutique closing Seeking options
By Brenton Furr, president of the board of directors for MMOA
To all our supporters and friends of Masterpiece Ministries of Arkansas (MMOA), our brick-andmortar version of Redeemed Boutique in Mena is closing as our building is being sold. Our last day will be Saturday, Oct. 28. But with every door closing, God opens another, and we are considering other options such as the possibility of an online resale store once the women’s home is open. We will also have nicer home goods and antiques displayed in a booth at the Mena Flea Market and are going to consign any remaining clothing and shoes with Sisters Consignment in Mena. All proceeds will go to support the women and the home. The women who come to live in the home will play a big part of identifying donated items to be sold online or on consignment as well as help list items online. Women will also learn skills to repurpose furniture and create products to sell. They can also earn coupons to be “redeemed” for products, clothing and furniture from the boutique. This will help provide them with a better start when they graduate and transition back into the community.
We are so excited for this new venture to bring much needed funds for our Christ centered transformation home and more importantly for the benefit of the women. We will begin taking donations again once we have women living in the home. So, stay tuned for more details on our Facebook pages and groups for our open house in Pencil Bluff and the future of Redeemed Boutique.
We are grateful for Nancy Lewis who is a board member for MMOA and has served as our store manager for the past nine months. She’s worked diligently and been a blessing in communicating the vision and future of the home for women struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
We thank the community for your support of MMOA and Redeemed Boutique and we look forward to where the Lord will take this new direction. Please continue to lift the Board of Directors up in prayer as we put the final touches on the construction of the home and hiring staff. May God bless each and every one of you!
Final week bag sale Lewis invites the community out for a Bag Sale through Saturday, Oct. 28 at 5 p.m.
She said, “Please stop by and help us reduce our inventory and go out with a bang! Store hours are Tuesday-Friday, 12:30-5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We love you all and have enjoyed serving you! Hope to see you soon!”
Redeemed Boutique is located in the former Mountain Pawn and Gun building at 1510 Hwy. 71 North, nextdoor to Arvest Bank.
