An essenti al support service for dementi a pati ents and their families has branched out to Aboyne.

The Forget-Me-Not Club held its fi rst session in the Community Shed in July and runs on Mondays, 10.30am to 13.30pm.

The Banchory-based charity off ers trained support and makes no charge for its services, relying on donati ons, grants, fundraising and support from Aberdeenshire Council. The new group enjoys friendly chats, games to gently challenge the mind and body, and lunch.

AVA and the Aberdeenshire Health & Social Care Partnership (AHSCP) launched a community mapping project.

By completi ng the survey, parti cipants whose project, organisati on, group or forum supports health, social care, and wellbeing in Aberdeenshire, helped AVA and the AHSCP improve their understanding of what is currently in place.

The survey results will also inform how these partnerships connect with groups in the future.
