The Dee and Don Ceilidh Collec� ve are organising the fi rst face to face workshop day in quite a while and we are letti ng you know the date now so you can pop it in your diary!

We will be holding our ceilidh day on Saturday 25th June in beauti ful Glenbuchat and are looking forward to returning to a fantasti c venue.

We’ll be having fi ddle, guitar, singing and mixed instrument classes as well as a session later on and the usual lunches, teas, coff ees and funcy pieces! It will be a brilliant opportunity to catch up with the musical community and also to play together aft er a long hiatus.

Evelyntreasurefi nder2 in Main Street, Alford, opened in June 2021. It is owned and run by Sandy and Evelyn Mitchell who have an intensive knowledge of all things vintage and retro. Good value, quality, versaliti ty and personal service are the main qualiti es of the business. Evelyn searches the UK, Australia and The Middle East for treasures to sell in Alford.

Its four rooms house a recepti on with stunning jewellery and gift s; the Retro room displays memory-evoking china, glass, pott ery and kitchenalia from past ti mes; fashion items from several eras grace the third room; interior design, soft furnishings, linens and small furniture feature in room four, while artworks are displayed throughout. The wide, sunny pavement outside the front door is good for displaying the colourful, quirky items for sale which tempt passing customers.
