A fundraiser for the organization, the sale will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. For a $5 donation, shoppers can attend the sneak preview of the sale on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon. On Saturday, shoppers can fill a bag with books for just $5 a bag. A police officer from south suburban Robbins appeared in bond court today, charged with falsifying her police pay stub in order to obtain a used car loan, according to the Office of Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez. Cheron Gee, 31, of Dolton, has been charged with Loan Fraud (Class 2 felony) and Forgery (Class 3 felony) following an invest igat ion by t he State’s Attor ney’s Professional Standards Unit. According to prosecutors, in Ma rch of 2015 Gee went to a CarMax dealership located in Tinley Park to purchase a 2012 Chev rolet Equinox. As part of the loan a pp l ic a t ion pr o c e s s , G e e s u bm it t e d a p a y s t u b f r om t h e Robbi n s Pol ic e Department which represented that she was being paid $23.25 an hour. Gee also indicated on the loan application that her gross monthly wages exceeded $4,000. As part of the transaction, Gee traded in her old vehicle and obtained a loan through the car dealership that exceeded $22,000 for the purchase of the car and she signed paperwork indicating that all information was complete and accurate. Approximately one week later the finance company for the car dealership returned

After contacting the Robbins Police Department to verif y employment and salar y, it was determined that the paystub submitted by Gee did not match the actual paystubs issued by the Robbins Police Department. Further comparison revealed several discrepancies i nclud i ng dates, t he a mou nt of hou rs worked, as well as Gee’s hourly rate of pay and year-to-date pay. The paystub submitted by Gee was also formatted differently and did not bear the printed watermark of the Village of Robbins. After being notified to return the vehicle due to the fraud, Gee surrendered the car but refused to repay the outstanding loan balance that the dealership had made on the original car that she had traded in. Gee appeared at a bond hearing today at the Cook County Courthouse in Bridgeview where Judge Peter Felice gave her a $25,000 I-bond . Gee’s next court date is May 19, 2016. T he publ ic is rem i nded t hat cr i m i na l charging documents contain allegations that are not evidence of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the state has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Our agency sells Medicare related insurance policies from your firm. Over the past 18 mont hs, I have had to dea l w it h a grow ing number of medica l bill problems of our clients who have a policy w ith your firm. Your firm would pay cla ims t hroug h a n electronic funds transfer (EFT) company. But, many of the payments did not get to the medical billing ser v ice of t he med ica l s er v ic e pr ov ider. T he money that your firm tried to send to pay the medical bills of clients never got to the intended payees. A t f i r s t , I t h ou g ht that the medical billing firm was being negligent or f r audu lent i n t hei r bookkeeping. But, today, I lea r ned t hat t he EFT f i r m t h a t y ou u s e i s ba se d of f shore i n t he Philippines. Your senior citizen clients who buy Medicare related insura nce from your firm trust your firm to be protective of their personal information. If a person in a foreign country commits a crime, how can local, state, or federal law enforcement officials in our countr y f i nd a nd pu n ish t he foreig ner i n a not her c ou nt r y ? It w ou ld b e nea rly i mpossible a nd extremely expensive. It would be much safer to u s e c u s t om e r s e r v ic e f i r ms t hat use on ly American based locations a nd employees i f you r firm wants to protect its c u s t omer s’ ident it ie s . A lso, if you use an EFT firm in the U.S., it would be much easier to f ind and punish an employee, o f f i c e r, o r f i r m t h a t took your firm’s money for cla i ms pay ment s a nd never delivered it t o m e d ic a l s e r v ic e providers. I can provide you examples of specific cases where this might be happening while you are using the foreign based EFT firm. Plea se, stop usi ng the foreign located firms that offer you service. It was held at the Carpri Ristorante Italiano in Palos Heights. First of all, with a nod to conservation and creativity, instead of baby cards we were asked to bring a book and inscribe with a note about the day and us etc. for a keepsake for baby’s to be. In addition to the delicious Italian food, libations, fabulous sweet table (we all ate our weight in chocolate!) all contributed by Sandy’s friends (she is a teacher). As we entered the gloriously decorated dining room we were greeted by charming remembrances, asking us to sign our names on circles which were posted for memory books, sign in on diapers (the funnier the saying the better) and a traveling gift which at our table was won by my gorgeous 3 year old great niece Stella Grace Fry. Pictured here in one pix are Todd and Christine as they open gifts, and in the other Christine and her Mom Sandy. Hats off to Sandy Melant and friends who dreamed up this wonderful baby shower to honor Christine and Todd!
