WALK THROUGH PAST AND PRESENT

Upon arriving at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, feel both the history and hospitality that the complex has to offer. In 1909, the Choo Choo opened as a fully operational train station named “Terminal Station.” It welcomed thousands of travelers to the city during the heyday of the railroads. Today, the renovated complex offers on-site dining, retail shops, tranquil rose gardens, and more.

DISCOVER "THE BATTLE ABOVE THE CLOUDS"

We will then travel up the famous Lookout Mountain, which not only offers terrific views of the city, but is also rich in history. At the Battles for Chattanooga Museum, see Civil War history come to life in digital panoramic displays. Using the latest technology, this one-of-a-kind storytelling experience brings to life the tumultuous battles that occurred in Chattanooga in November 1863. Explore the museum, and then walk over to Point Park, the site of the famous “Battle Above the Clouds.”
