Tuesday Nottoway Plantation

Holiday Festivities at Nottoway Plantation Nottoway Plantation is a true beauty on the Mississippi. Enjoy the holiday season in one of the most lavish and luxurious settings the South has to offer. After spending the day touring the historical plantation and its perfectly manicured grounds, and exploring the Christmas Markets, join us in the stunning White Ballroom, where a spectacular performance will be held depicting the extravagant southern balls held here during the plantation era. Dressed in full gowns and suits, impersonators will share a little about the incredible festivities held at Nottoway Plantation. We will then make our way to Nottoway’s beautiful Randolph Ballroom where we will enjoy hors d’oeuvres or dessert depending on dinner seating times. Once we finish our festivites inside we will head outside to the Mississippi River Levee. Watch in awe, as traditional bonfires are lit, illuminating the area in between the American Queen and Nottoway Plantation while fireworks go off up above.

Take a step back into history when cotton was king and plantations dotted the southern back roads of America. Experience a look back into the 1800s and the daily trials of life on a plantation for a slave as we tour a present-day cotton plantation. Frogmore Plantation remains today as a living monument to this truly American textile. Here, experience an inspirational musical performance, beautifully illustrating life on a plantation. For a first-hand look at the last burst of southern opulence before the war brought the cotton baron’s dominance to an end, we’ll tour Longwood Mansion before returning back to Natchez.
