HACKLEY & HUME HISTORIC SITE

Step back in time to 1890 when Muskegon’s famous lumber barons, Charles Hackley and Thomas Hume, ruled the industry. Their homes are exquisite examples of Victorian architecture and late nineteenth century interior decorative arts.

MUSKEGON MUSEUM OF ART

Heralded as one of the finest small art museums in the United States, the Muskegon Museum of Art features early European, American, traditional, and contemporary art.

THE SCOLNIK HOUSE OF THE DEPRESSION ERA

This house turned museum immerses guests in the lifestyle of the 1930’s depression era. Once a single-family home, the Scolnik house was split into two separate apartments during the Great Depression.

FIRE BARN MUSEUM

The Fire Barn Museum is dedicated to firefighting equipment spanning from the late 1800’s to present day. The building is modeled after the Hackley Hose Company #2, a historic fire station that was designed by lumber baron Charles Hackley.
