Note: The Maximum weight for this jet boat is 300 lbs. Minimum age is 8 years. Due to the heavy calving of the glacier, it is possible that you may not be able to see the glacier face. Calving may be seen or heard but is not guaranteed. Please wear warm, layered clothing, preferably with a waterproof or windproof outer layer.

VISIT THE ANAN BEAR AND WILDLIFE CONSERVATORY
Head to the observation platform and watch for bears trying to catch their lunch! This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will give you the chance to see the majestic animals closer than anywhere else — especially if salmon in the creek are plentiful. Snap a photo, or just watch in awe as the bears and other local creatures enjoy their day.
SOME INFORMATION ABOUT THE CONSERVATORY
Located at the Anan Creek, the Anan Bear and Wildlife Conservatory was created to provide visitors with a non-intrusive way to view bears, eagles, and seals in their natural habitats. The Anan Creek is home to one of Southeast Alaska’s largest pink salmon runs. This makes it a primary feeding location, frequented by the local bear population.
Note: The hike from the Anan Trailhead to the Observatory is approximately 5/8 of a mile (20 minutes) walking on a US Forest Service regulated trail rated “moderately difficult.”
