Families with a PCI of $1,000 and below will enjoy full fee waivers when they enrol in any SINDA programme.
Families whose PCI is above $1,000 will only have to pay a nominal commitment fee of $10 when they enrol in any SINDA programme.
* Per Capita Income (PCI): Total monthly nett household income divided by the number of household members. PCI is used by SINDA to assess the eligibility of individuals and families for financial assistance and programme fee subsidies.

DIGITAL LITERACY WORKSHOPS
SINDA offers an extensive range of digital literacy programmes for children aged 7 to 12 years. These programmes help children understand the basic principles of computer science and digital literacy, while fostering their early interest in a STEM-focused future.
Basic Coding for Pre-schoolers
Provides pre-schoolers a head start in the world of technology, through fun and interactive activities and coding.
Robotics Workshops
This series of robotics workshops enables participants to build a wide variety of models and create movement and sounds through their models, using sequential programming.
Code in the Community
Held in partnership with Google, these multi-level coding classes nurture children’s interest in coding. Participants will learn the basics of computational thinking and computer science concepts, through programmes such as Python and Scratch
Cyber Wellness
These programmes cater to both parents and children. Participants will be educated on the safe use of technology and the impact of the internet on a child’s development, learning and social relationships.

TUTORIAL PROGRAMMES
SINDA is dedicated to improving the academic performance of Indian students. A range of comprehensive tuition programmes help strengthen students’ foundation in subjects and improve their academic performance.
SINDA Tutorials for Enhanced Performance (STEP)
An after-school programme for primary, secondary and A-Level students to improve their academic performance in core subjects. Classes are conducted in selected schools islandwide by qualified and experienced tutors.
Project Guide
A community-based supplementary programme that offers homework and academic support to primary and secondary students.
TEACH
A school-based tutorial programme where students receive after-school homework support in core subjects. Students enrolled in the programme are pre-identified by their schools and teachers.
Landmark Programme
Intensive exam preparation lessons in Mathematics and Science for students embarking on their national examinations – PSLE, GCE N(A)-Level, GCE N(T)-Level and GCE O-Level. The programme offers students tips and strategies to ace the national exams.
Café Excel
Conducive and safe learning spaces at various community venues for students to drop in for support in their homework.

SINDA offers a wide variety of scholarship schemes to individuals who wish to pursue higher education and enhance their skill sets, through collaborations with donors, established educational institutions and organisations. The eligibility criteria will differ for each scholarship/study award.

INSPIRING YOUTH
SINDA’s youth programmes inspire Indian youths towards greater achievements. These motivational and mentorship programmes for youths aged between 13 to 25 years aim to develop their potential and shape them into confident and capable adults. Youths who show potential are further mentored to be peer leaders.
Mentor Me
A sustained youth mentorship programme that supports aspiring tertiary-level students in achieving their goals through career mentoring, youth mentoring and skills-based workshops.
ITEnable
Equips students with life skills and positive values while keeping them motivated throughout their educational journey.
Youth Enable
Nurtures youths into confident and resilient individuals so that they can achieve positive social and educational outcomes.
Guidance and Mentorship (GAME)
Nurtures the development of youths through interactive interest-based activities and mentorship, enabling youths to gain essential life skills and empower themselves.
SINDA Football Club (SFC)
SFC develops participants’ core values of discipline, resilience, and commitment through football and engages them in values-based talks and workshops. This programme is open to both boys and girls.
Youth Engagement Programme
A series of engagement activities for youths during the weekends and the school holidays to keep them meaningfully occupied.
SINDA Youth Hub
The SINDA Youth Hub at Jurong Point provides a conducive place for Indian youths to study in, engage in meaningful activities and create positive peer circles.

SINDA Youth Club’s (SYC) leadership programmes offer opportunities and platforms to youths aspiring to develop and hone their leadership potential.

A 4-month leadership programme that nurtures the leadership potential of youths and shapes them into active contributors in the community.
ITE Leadership Programme (ITELP)
A 5-month leadership programme that grooms ITE students into effective leaders through a leadership camp, soft-skill modules and community engagements.
SINDA Youth Leaders Seminar (SYLS)
SYLS is a 3-day annual leadership seminar where youths from diverse backgrounds are groomed into youth leaders who strive to be agents of change in the community.

SYEC is a 3-day camp for Secondary 3 students to learn more about themselves, cultivate self and community leadership, and be prepared for life after secondary school.

A series of exciting family-bonding activities throughout the year to help strengthen familial bonds. These include father-child bonding workshops to help fathers better relate to their children and foster lasting bonds.
Project Athena
Project Athena empowers Indian single mothers to effectively raise their families through individual counselling and group therapy. By providing a strong support network, single mothers are encouraged to build stronger bonds with their children.
Let Her Shine! – Women Empowerment Programme
This series equips young Indian women with the skills and resources to grow into strong and confident women, with workshops focusing on career growth, health and women empowerment.

SOCIAL AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
SINDA’s Family Service Centre is a one-stop information and referral centre that provides social work and counselling services to individuals and families in need. In addition to this, complementary intervention programmes by other SINDA divisions ensure that holistic support is available to all clients to overcome their challenges and strive towards a better future.
Information & Referral
Social work practitioners identify and assess the needs of individuals or families and link them to the relevant assistance offered by various national agencies.
Casework & Counselling
Social work practitioners help individuals and families with their parenting, marital, financial, family violence and interpersonal issues.
Legal Clinic
Free legal services to disadvantaged Indian families, where lawyers from accredited law firms advise clients about the relevant legal procedures and terms on a pro-bono basis.
Prison TrueCare
The Prison TrueCare programme offers workshops to incarcerated individuals while providing social and financial support to their families. Inmates are also supported with continued reintegration services, upon their release.

Bursaries at SINDA support low-income and deserving families with education-related financial assistance from pre-school up till their post-secondary education.

Financial assistance for beneficiaries in need of urgent assistance, on a case-by-case basis.
Home Access (with IMDA)
Supports low-income families with affordable home internet connectivity. Eligible Singaporean families can enjoy two years of subsidised fibre broadband connectivity, with an option to bundle it with a tablet or smartphone.
NEU PC Plus (with IMDA)
Offers low-income households with students or persons with disabilities the opportunity to own a computer at an affordable price.
Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Foundation
Free copies of mainstream newspapers for students from low-income households, to keep them up-to-date on current affairs.

SINDA offers several assistance schemes to individuals and families who require additional support to overcome their challenges and ensure that they have access to the right resources to lead fruitful lives.
Beacon Fund
Offers emergency assistance, interim assistance and household, mobility or IT assistance to individuals and families in financial distress.
Transport Support Scheme
For the elderly, persons with disabilities and special needs, pregnant mothers with financial concerns and clients with chronic health issues, to ease the burden of transport costs and to make medical appointments more accessible to them.

HELPING THE COMMUNITY
Meaningful partnerships with community, grassroots, religious and ethnic groups, and corporate organisations maximise our outreach to the community. Our volunteers play an integral role in the running of programmes and in connecting the vulnerable to appropriate avenues of support.
GROUND ENGAGEMENTS
Through ground engagement activities, such as the Door Knocking Exercise (DKE), trained staff and volunteers visit Indian households throughout the year to reach out to residents in need and refer them to the relevant support.

SINDA offers funding to individuals and organisations, whose interests align to SINDA’s vision and mission, to undertake projects and activities for community betterment.

VOLUNTEER WITH US!
Championing the organisation’s efforts on the ground are our pool of volunteers, who play an integral role in the running of programmes and in connecting the vulnerable to the right avenues of support. SINDA also empowers its volunteers to organise and lead self-directed programmes by offering them training and learning opportunities.
