Heritage of Kotak Mahindra • Kotak Mahindra Group was established in 1985. • It offers commercial banking, stock broking, mutual funds, life insurance, and investment banking. • It employs around 20,000 employees across its various businesses, servicing around 7 million customer in 470 cities across the globe. • Net worth of the group is more than Rs 50,486 crore as on March 31, 2018. • First non-banking finance company in India to convert into a bank known as Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. • The bank has 1,333 branches at more than 700 locations and approximately 2300 ATMs.

Kotak Standard Multi-Cap Fund (G) • It was earlier known as Kotak Select Focus Fund and has generated 20.2% return in 2 years and 20.1% in 5 years as on May 25,2018. • More than 80% corpus is invested in equity instruments of large-cap companies, mainly in finance, energy, and construction sector. • The fund is managed by Mr Harsha Upadhyaya. • It has assets under management of approximately Rs 20,000 crore as on 30 April 2018.


Kotak Equity Saving Fund (G) • It is an equity-oriented hybrid scheme which targets companies with diversified market caps. • It invests 60-70% corpus in equity instruments and 30-40% corpus in debt instruments. • Kotak Equity Saving Fund has provided a decent growth of 8.9% in 1 year and 9.9% in 2 years as on May 25, 2018. • It is managed by Mr Abhishek Bisen. • The fund has assets under management of Rs 1,995 crore as on Apr 30, 2018.


Kotak Emerging Equity Scheme (G) • It is a mid-cap equity scheme. • It has provided 21.5% return in last 2 years and 25.9% in last 5 years as on May 25, 2018 which is well above its benchmark. • It is one of the best Kotak Mahindra mutual funds. • The risk factor of Kotak Emerging equity scheme is high as it invests approximately 70% corpus in equity instruments of mid-cap companies and 20% in small-cap companies. • The fund has assets under management of Rs 3,286 crore as on Apr 30, 2018.


Kotak Opportunities Fund (G) • It is a multi-cap fund which invests 50-55% corpus in equity instruments of large-cap companies and 40-45% in mid-cap companies. • A small proportion of Kotak Opportunities Fund is invested in small-cap companies which has the potential of providing growth in the future. • It has delivered 18.6% return in 2 years and 18.2% in 5 years as on May 25, 2018. • The fund has assets under management of Rs 2,523 crore as on Apr 30, 2018.


Kotak Debt Hybrid Fund (G) • It is a debt-oriented Monthly Income Plan. • It allocates 50-60% of corpus in debt instruments and 20-25% in equity instruments of companies with diversified sector. • It was earlier known as Kotak Monthly Income Plan (G). • It has provided a consistent growth of 8.9% in 2 years and 9.2% in 5 years as on May 25, 2018.
