Lucknow commercial is a government project holding office spaces within. It has been designed fro the inspiration of European style of architecture followed in their public building depicting power. Lucknow was highly influenced by the British pre- independence. Thus, it was also taken care that it would blend with its contemporary style and also depict the power of government like its other public buildings.

MEDITATION CENTER

DESIGN PROBLEM : TO DESIGN A MEDITATION CENTER IN AN AREA OF 100SQ.M, AND MAX G+3 FLOORS, IN THE GIVEN LOCATION

DURING MEDITAION , ALL THE CHAKRAS OF THE BODY GET ACTIVATED AND THE MEDITATOR IS BELIEVED TO RECEIVE ENERGY FROM THE COSMIC THROUGH A LOTUS , MENTALLY PRESENT ABOVE THE HEAD

SITE: PRAGAATHI NAGAR, HYDERABAD

SITE PLAN

SOOTHING COLOURS: WHITE , GREEN , BLUE HAVE BEEN USED TO SHOW THE INTERACTION BETWEEN HUMANS AND NATURE AND PURITY WITHIN THEM.

A LOTUS REPRESENTS SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT, CREATION, PURITY AND REBIRTH. THUS, A LOTUS HAS BEEN CHOSEN FOR THE DERIVATION OF THE CONCEPT

A MIX OF JAPANESE AND HINDU CULTURE OF BUDHISM, REPRESENTING PETALS POINTING IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS

TAKING GOMETRICAL FORMS OF THIS CONCEPT, THE FOLLOWING FORM HAS BEEN DERIVED . HAVING THREE FLOORS OF EACH FLOOR AREA AS 64 SQ.M

CONCEPT EVOLUTION : LOTUS

INSTITUTION

DESIGN PROBLEM : TO DESIGN AN ENGINEERING INSTITUTION IN LIMITED LAND

DORM GROUND FLOOR PLAN SITE PLAN VENTILATION THROUGH JALLI SYSTEM AND GREEN BED IN FRONT (2M SITTING AREA) • GETS IN COOL AIR • FILTERATION OF DUST FROM AIR • CUTS DOWN GLARE • BETTER INSULATOIN SYSTEM • COST EFFECTIVE • CROSS VENTILATION • PLAYING OF SHADES AND SHADOWS • PROVIDES PRIVACY AND OPENESS TO USERS AT THE SAME TIME

CIRCULAR FORM ALLOWS MORE SURFACE AREA TO AIR FLOW AND AT THE SAME TIME COSTS DOWN HARSH WIND

THICK WALLS WITH JALLIS PROVIDE CONTINUOUS AIR CIRCULATION AND CROSS VENTILATION. THUS, AIR CONDITIONERS ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR MACHINERY LABS OR COMPUTER LABS

CIVIL AND MECHANICAL LABS IN CELLAR WHICH ARE SEMIBURIED HAVE AN ADVANTAGE OF SOUND INSULATION AND HEAT ABSORPTION PROVIDED BY EARTH
