BEYOND THE BROKEN HEART by Julie Yarbrough Thursdays, September 12-November 21 10-11:30AM, Chapel Parlor Registration: vpc.church/care Cost: $12 for book Facilitator: Pastor David Turner Beyond the Broken Heart is a seven-week ministry course for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. We grieve because we love, and the deeper the love, the greater our grief feels. In the face of that grief, we give thanks for having loved so deeply. In our grief we have a story to tell; a story that's important because it's our story. A story that tells others about the moment in your life when your world changed. Join with others traveling the similar path to find support, encouragement, and to experience personal and spiritual growth through the healing power of God's presence.

Who We Are: Come and See
Sunday, August 11
Each year VPC Children's Ministry gives students a key chain to put on their backpack. It's a reminder that God is with them, at home, at play, and especially at school. We've given arrows to point the way Jesus and keys to unlock what God wants for our lives. This year we are giving our kids binoculars. When my son was little he loved nothing more than to park by construction sites to watch the "movers and scoops" work! He liked to go back to the same construction site to see how it changed. Sometimes we’d use binoculars and he’d say, "look mom …come and see!" He was so excited that he wanted everyone to see it! Have you seen something so amazing that you couldn't wait to share it with a friend or family member? God does amazing things each and every day. Children's Ministry's theme this year is Come and See. We hope the binoculars serve as reminders for our kids - and for all of us ‑ to notice the amazing things God is doing, and to share them with friends, family, and all those around you. There are many who don’t know about Jesus and His love, and we can invite them to come and see what God is doing at VPC and all around us.
