FOCUS Christmas Memorials
We invite you to donate a Christmas poinsettia in honor of loved ones. Deadline for acknowledgment in the Christmas Eve bulletin is Monday, December 17. We will be accepting donations ($15) through Christmas. Proceeds benefit Family Promise. Order online: vpc.church/christmas or fill out card available in all worship centers and in the church office.
DO YOU LOVE TO QUILT? VPC's Quilting Ministry needs you! David Turner: davidt@vpc.church We create quilts for the babies of VPC when they are baptized. It's one of the most authentic and tangible ways that we can care for the little ones around us, by literally wrapping them with your prayers. If you love to quilt, regardless of skill, you can be a part of this great ministry.
VPC MENTAL HEALTH MINISTRY
vpc.church/mentalhealth Coping with the holidays Supporting a loved one who is experiencing holiday depression, anxiety, or stress can be difficult. You may not understand why your loved one feels or acts a certain way. Here are some general tips to help: • Ask your loved on how you can help. • Be patient – learning and practicing new coping strategies takes time. • Listen and offer support, but avoid pushing unwanted advise. • Set boundaries and seek support for yourself, if needed. -Canadian Mental Health Assoc./Alberta

Pledged or contributed Promised from anonymous donor if we can reach $9,700,000 Amount needed to activate anonymous donor support Total Goal
Because of the generosity of 255 VPC households and the VPC Foundation we have just $1,255,000 left to raise to complete Phase One Master Plan renovations known as A New Heart for the Valley! Recently, a family pledged to cover the last $500,000 of the goal if VPC donors raise the additional $1,255,000 needed. That is about half of VPC’s annual budget. Has God been nudging you to contribute to A New Heart for the Valley? Your gift or pledge today (payable over three years) can help finish this campaign before 2019! Can you give an additional $50, $100 or $1,000 for each of the next three years? Consider this: of the 255 gifts/pledges, 121 of them range from $50 - $3,000 (payable over 3 years) and total $171,000. That is enough to pay for several project components not yet covered including: Two of the three Children’s classrooms; the Student ministry room or Student breakout rooms; a new Adult Classroom (David Joynt’s office), and several others. When everyone gives, everyone wins. Pledge Today. Let’s finish A New Heart for the Valley this year!
