FALL 2015
Style Guide with Tyler Spencer
Labor Day has come and gone, and with it the true start to the fall fashion season begins. Fashion is one of those things that is constantly evolving, and anyone who follows it knows how hard it is to stay on top of what’s HOT and what’s NOT. Most of us don't have the time or energy to keep up with these trends, but we still want to be fashionable and look good. I know I never want to be that guy who is wearing the wrong suit at work, the incorrect pair of jeans at the party, or last season’s shoes at my friend’s dinner party.
Luckily, VIP is here and we want you to look your best this fall. We’ve put together our Top 5 fall fashion trends for 2015. Whatever your style, you will find something here to help you look your very best. So you can rest assured that after reading this you wont have to guess at what to wear to that big Halloween party, Thanksgiving dinner, or Holiday Party.
Fashion Flashback That's right, hippies rejoice! Undeniably the main theme this fall season has been centered on the famous fashions of the 1970’s. This fashion flashback for men and women began earlier this year when flares and suede emerged in full force and the resurgence is here to stay. We’re talking turtleneck sweatshirts, leather pants, and floral prints that will remind you of that crazy couch at your grandparent’s house. VIP Tip: If you’re working on a budget this fall, check out vintage stores and thrift shops around the city for these throwback threads.
The Leather Pant
Yes, leather pants have emerged in fall fashion this year but we are still trying to decide whether that’s a good thing or not. It takes a special kind of person to make leather pants look good and let’s be honest - most of us aren't Jon Bonjovi and should probably steer clear of this fashion trend. But for those of you who can pull it off, leather pants can offer a modern, sleek style and truly become a staple within your wardrobe this fall. Just make sure you look in the mirror and maybe even ask that friend who can be a bit “too honest” what they think before strolling out the house in a pair of skin tight leather jeans.
That's right guys...get ready to start wearing skirts, dresses, blouses and more! Men's fashion designers are taking a more androgynous approach to their collections this fall.
4
Gender Bending Style
Androgynous fashion was all over the runway this fall in Europe. We tend to identify fashion by gender, but this season designers are bridging the gap between sexes. Androgyny is an invisible gender that is the sex of the future. This unidentifiable identity can add a vulnerable and alluring look to your style this fall.
3
50 Shades of...
Grey?
You may find the color grey to be boring and dull, but when it comes to fall men’s fashion in 2015 its all the rave…it was by far the most popular color on the runway this year boosting it into trend territory. Of course grey is always one of those colors that is prominently featured in fall/winter collections, but this year designers are looking for something a little different. This season try wearing different shades of grey within your outfit. This means wearing a grey suit with a matching grey tie or if you’re feeling bold try clashing patterns of the same shade of grey with a pattern sweater and solid grey scarf. Just make sure they are the same shade of grey.
5
Real Men Wear Scarves
Much like 70's fashion and leather pants, the scarf is making a comeback in 2015. While fall allows for a scarf, particularly in late November and December, care is called for. The right scarf knotted the right way can add color, style, and warmth to your wardrobe, but BEWARE a badly tied scarf can make you look like an overgrown 8 year old so if you decide to add the scarf to your closet this fall. VIP Tip: Visit myvipmag.us for VIP's Top 6 Ways to Knot Your Scarf this Fall. You can thank us later.

National Coming Out Day
VIP honors all of those who have come out as LGBT or as a supporter of the LGBT Community. The coming out process is never easy, it takes strength and courage. Celebrate YOU and BE Inspired by What You See.
Post your photos #WorldRebuild
Every year on National Coming Out Day, we celebrate coming out as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) or as an ally. On Oct. 11, 2015, we will celebrate the 27th anniversary of National Coming Out Day and the National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights, we Ăžrst observed National Coming Out Day as a reminder that one of our most basic tools is the power of coming out. One out of every two Americans has someone close to them who is gay or lesbian. For transgender people, that number is only one in 10.

COMING OUT- whether it is as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or allied - STILL MATTERS. When people know someone who is LGBTQ, they are far more likely to support equality under the law. Beyond that, our stories can be powerful to each other.
