During the plague of 1630 in Venice, that killed around 46,000 people out of a population of 140,000, two doctors try to fight against death. Umberto does it by vocation, Carlo tries it because of social ambition. In this period it was law to report the sick to isolate them in quarantine , it was illegal to keep the secret of a sick relative. This happens to the character of Umberto, who by his approach to the sick will carry the disease to his family. Then, he will have an introspective discussion by the guilt he feels at not saving his family from death, and the guilt he feels for having broken the law by having imprisoned his family at home to try to cure them. He had commanded the children of other families to the Lazzaretto, the quarantine island where no one comes back, he sees himself as an hypocrite and he will have to decide how to proceed to get rid of his inner conflict. Type of comic: One shot or a series of stories about the Black Death. Pages: 48

The story of two Marines in the Makin Island mission of August 17, 1942. It was a mission of two days and one night fighting the Japanese garrison on the island. The objectives of the operation were diverse: destroy the facility, take prisoners, gain intelligence about the area and distract Japanese reinforcements on Guadalcanal and Tulagi. The main characters are two American marines on their first mission, they will know the chaos and horror of war in this little mission. Something interesting happened on this mission, some soldiers remained on the island when the Americans returned to the submarine, one of the protagonists would be captured by the Japanese, while the other was able to return to the submarine.

YAMAHIRIYA
A six-page documentary comic about the political life of Muammar Gaddafi. In this project I worked with the historian David Contreras for script development. His experience in the study of this character has helped to create an objective discourse. The drawing is heavily influenced by the photographs that I used, to give greater accuracy to the story. I haven’t translated this version to english so far.
