History -Born in Trelawny, Jamaica -He has a brother and a sister -Played cricket and football in the street


-He played cricket in high school, and his coach told him he should try track and field after noticing his speed -Pablo McNeil began to coach Bolt -Bolt’s lack of dedication to his training and his practical jokes sometimes frustrated McNeil -Bolt broke school records


Professional Career -Turned professional in 2004 -Was injured his first 2 seasons due to injuries -His professional coach is Fitz Coleman -Bolt was headed to the 2004 Athens Olympics, when he had an injury and was not able to compete


-American colleges offered Bolt scholarships -In 2005 bolt got a new coach Glen Mills -Bolt was happier running the 200m and 100m -Bolt improved giving him more power on the track


-Holds the Olympic and world records for the 100 meters at 9.69 seconds, the 200 meters at 19.30 seconds, 4x100 meters relay at 37.10 seconds with his relay team -Bolt became the first man to win all three events at a single Olympics since Carl Lewis in 1984 -First man in history to set world records in all three at a single Olympics -In Beijing Bolt wore gold pumas that said “Beijing 100 m Gold�
