KEITT: The Keitt mango is also considered a precious mango. It is slightly larger than the Kent mango and is a bit more fibrous with a higher fructose content. This precious mango reaches the clientele mostly by sea and also achieves a high sales price. It is processed mostly for mango ice cream, jam, juice or as dried fruit. This variety has many applications. To meet worldwide demand approximately 4,000,000 more trees would be needed. Our 17,400 mango trees are planted in a pasture covered with grass and sheep. In addition, we buy tons of cow and goat manure with which to fertilize our plants. The Dominican Republic is a member of numerous international economic organizations and agreements (UN, IMF, World Bank, WTO, GATT). In October 2008, the Economic Partnership Agreement was signed. This Agreement grants the Dominican Republic free access to the European market. This makes it one of the three countries in Latin America which has free access to the European and US markets. For the export of mangoes this is of paramount importance. The commercial exchanges between the EU and the Dominican Republic has increased by 25.8% in 2011 compared to 2010. Exports to the EU rose by 7.8% in the same period. POLICY AND LEGAL SYSTEM The Dominican Republic is a presidential republic modeled after US democracy since 1966. The political system is made up of four major parties that meet any western standard. The President is the supreme executive authority. The Congress is composed of two chambers, the Senate and the House of Representatives. The legal system is largely based on the old French Napoleonic Code, however the court structure leans more toward Spanish models. Each municipality has one or more Justices of the Peace and each province has a court. This country has an optimal economic conditions and a stable political situation.

The new Organic Mango Plantation Park is located about 55 km from Santo Domingo International Airport and 120 km from the international vacation paradise of Punta Cana.
