Sanosil S015 (Aerosol) Disinfectant for medical aerosol applications

AFNOR NFT 72-281 tested* * with Sanosil Q-Jet Device

Description Sanosil S015 Aerosol is based on the proven Sanosil H2O2-Ag formulation and is suitable for aerosol – room disinfection (in combination with the Sanosil Q-Jet dry foggers). Sanosil S015 Aerosol is used for aerosol disinfection of precleaned, more heavily contaminated rooms which have conditions or requirements according to AFNOR NFT 72-281 (demanding test standard for aerosol disinfection), or even the similar EN 17272.

Short info: Suitable for: Aerosol application with aerosol device e.g. Q-Jet Product type: Ready for use Effective against: Bacteria, viruses, yeasts, fungi, mould spores, bacterial endospores

Mode of action The oxygen (1O2/-O2) split off by the hydrogen peroxide attacks the surfaces of the microorganisms. Oxidation ("cold combustion") denatures and destroys them (1).

Durability: 2 years Active ingredients: 7.5% hydrogen peroxide, 0.0075% silver

Microbiological efficacy: Aerosol with Q-Jet Bactericidal: AFNOR NF T72-281 Levurocide: AFNOR NF T72-281 Fungicide: AFNOR NF T72-281 Sporozide: AFNOR NF T72-281

Spray time + 30 min Spray time + 30 min Spray time + 30 min Spray time + 60 min

Virucidal / Sporocidal: Evaluation of the IVI Mittelhäusern (Swiss Class 4 Biosafety Laboratory) Use against non-enveloped viruses: Spray time + 180 min

The effect is intensified by silver ions, which on the one hand catalytically intensify the effect of the peroxide by massively accelerating the splitting off of reactive oxygen molecules, but on the other hand (2) also supportively block the metabolism (where present) and the reproductive capacity of the germs. This slows down renewed growth.

To be noted: • •

The effect of aerosol disinfection is increased several times over by cleaning as thoroughly as possible. The more thoroughly the surfaces to be disinfected are pre-cleaned, the more effective and efficient is the subsequent disinfection. Aerosol disinfection is a supplement to conventional application methods. It does NOT replace cleaning or classic wipe disinfection of highly contaminated surfaces.

Aerosol disinfection Fogging or aerosol disinfection is used wherever large volumes have to be treated without gaps in a short time. The use of S015 Aerosol in combination with Sanosil Q-Jet's is particularly popular in the human, veterinary and dental sectors. Especially in the fight against germs with unclear sources, aerosol disinfection is the method of choice thanks to its complete surface coverage. In this process, disinfectant is atomised into tiny droplets with the help of a suitable cold fogger and distributed in the air. When deposited on the surfaces, these disinfectant droplets then unfold their effect. This not only allows a time-saving treatment of an entire room, but also allows the disinfection of otherwise hard-to-reach nooks and crannies. If the test conditions (dosage and exposure time) are imitated 1:1 with a device other than the one listed in the certification, the results can be extrapolated with a high degree of certainty. This means that basically any device designed for aerosol disinfection with corresponding material properties is suitable for use with Sanosil S015. However, the control of the effectiveness is the responsibility of the user. Important: Efficacy tests (AFNOR/DIN-EN) always refer to a specific sprayer and the associated disinfectant as a unit.

Aerosol disinfection with the Sanosil Q-JET dry mist devices 1. Clean the room to be treated as thoroughly as possible with water and detergent. Especially contact points such as handles, water taps, door traps, operating elements of technical/electronic devices (keyboards, touchpads) etc. require particularly careful cleaning. 2. Make sure that the Sanosil Q-JET has a functioning power supply and sufficient Sanosil S015 aerosol in the tank, all windows are closed, the ventilation is switched off and no persons are in the room. 3. Calculate the volume of the room to be treated (L x W x H) and take the suitable spraying time from the table. 4. Transfer them to the Sanosil Q-JET via the selector switch. 5. Dosage per m3 in a cleaned room depends on the hygienic requirements, the germs to be controlled and the exposure time. Details can be found in the Q-Jet operating instructions 6. Start the Sanosil Q-JET and leave the room. Close the door. The Sanosil Q-Jet will now nebulize the S015 aerosol. Do not enter the room for at least 2 hours. After the minimum exposure time has elapsed, the room can be ventilated and then used again.
