About Us Rhodes + Associates Limited is an independent Quantity Surveying and Cost Consultancy firm providing services across New Zealand. Established in 2013 by Lindsey Rhodes, RA now has a team of fifteen between its Christchurch and Queenstown offices. Our senior staff have a wealth of experience in the construction industry, both locally and internationally, including hotels, apartments, large retail developments, high end residential housing, industrial, infrastructure, and heritage earthquake remedial and strengthening works. Senior Leadership Team Lindsey Rhodes Director BScQS, NZIQS(Affil) Lindsey began her career in South Africa before moving to Zimbabwe where she became a Senior Partner. Following a permanent relocation to New Zealand, Lindsey founded Rhodes + Associates in January 2013. With over 25 years in the industry, Lindsey’s wealth of experience enables her to steer the direction of the practice, encourage and support our people, and ensure our clients receive the best return on their investment.
Phil Griffiths Director DipQS, MNZID, MNZIQS With over 20 years’ experience, Phil’s knowledge of construction methodology means he regularly collaborates with project consultants at an earlier stage to deliver accurate cost planning. Phil joined the team in 2015 and enjoys helping guide clients through the entire journey, working collaboratively to obtain their project goals. He believes it is imperative that he keeps his clients’ projects on track by speaking up when required and never compromising quality.

Henry Scaife Associate Director BConst (QS), MNZIQS Henry, an Associate Director, manages the Queenstown office. With over 13 years’ experience, he specialises in delivering accurate estimating, cost planning, and cost control on all project sectors. Henry values his clients and the success of their projects and remains by the client and design team’s side through the planning, tender review, negotiations, and construction stages of these projects.
Chris Andis Associate Director BConst (QS), MNZIQS Chris is an experienced consultant who brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. With over 25 years’ experience in previous roles for civil, residential, and commercial construction companies, Chris’ skills and abilities are an asset for both Rhodes + Associates Limited and our clients.
Gavin Stanley Senior Quantity Surveyor/ BScQS, NZIQS (Affil) Lead Estimator Gavin, as lead estimator, has over 25 years’ experience in both the UK and New Zealand and was one of the cofounders of Rhodes + Associates Limited. He is known for his meticulous cost accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to add value. Gavin has been involved extensively with heritage re-build and re-development works as well as with mediation, expert witness, and client representation on several projects.

The Arts Centre te Matatiki Toi Ora The re-development, restoration, and seismic strengthening at the Arts Centre comes after the heritage landmark was badly damaged by earthquakes in 2010 and 2011. The project is the largest heritage restoration in New Zealand and includes strengthening and repairs to all buildings, infrastructure and site wide works. This collection of Gothic Revival buildings date from 1877 and were formerly used by Canterbury College (now Canterbury University) and two of the city’s secondary schools.
