Concept 0.5/1 Composition 0.75/1 11

FEEDBACK

• The dominant part should be transperent to show the concept • The concept was not shown clearly

PERSONAL REFLECTION

It was the hardest assigment for me as it was the first implementation of rules

GRADE 1.25

12

Concept board 0.3/0.5 Creativity 0.4/0.5 Composition 0.5/1 Workmanship 0.5/1 13

FEEDBACK

• The compositions are not in the right propotions regarding dominant and subdominant • The compositions aren’t neat enough

PERSONAL REFLECTION

It was the first time to work with soft material like plasticine so thats why the neatness was not well managed

GRADE 1.70

14

1-Braveness

As the solider holds his gun in front of him to defend the attackers, he sacrifies his soul for his country

2-The family

Describes the relationship between the family members and how each of them hold the other

3-Indefatigable

The model is challenging gravity trying not to lose its balance, likewise a person who is struggling in his life trying to avoid giving up

15

Concept board 0.7/1 Composition 0.8/1 Workmanship 0.8/1 16

FEEDBACK

• There were not any variations in the objects forming the compositions • Keywords are not expressed in the compositions

play of axes

PERSONAL REFLECTION I enjoyed working with curvilinear models more than rectilinear models

GRADE 2.30

17

1-Rollercoaster

Enjoy your life’s roller coaster especially when harships occur.Remember you will only live once. The curvilinear parts(The sphere and the cylinder)resembles life, the cone resembles harships

2-Agony

If someone is holding it well it does not mean that it is not heavy. People should choose their words wisely. If people said kind words to each others it will be like the cylinder that prevents people from falling

18

Adaptable

The boat is trying to keep its stability with lots of circumstances:wind, waves and other factors, like the composition is trying to adapt to change by having some sort of fluidity and stability

Resistance

‘’ One must imagine Sisyphus happy’’ It is a personal choice to decide about your psychological state irrespective of the vag sisyphus has no choice but to keep on pushing the boulder up the hill and see it comes tumbling down only to push it up again

19

Concept board 0.4/0.5 Composition 0.6/1 Workmanship 0.6/1 Creativity 0.3/0.5

20

FEEDBACK

• The materials’ compositions are neither the same size nor the same exact shapes as the placticine compositions . • The objects are not neat enough .

PERSONAL REFLECTION It was very challenging to do the exact same compositions but in an architectural way

GRADE 1.90

21

Betrayal The cone is a person who is casting a shadow over the other person(semi circle) to protect him. Even though that the cone is protecting the semi circle, the semicircle is betraying him The semi circle is a dome and the golden rectangular part is a tower , the cone is an object casting a shadow over the building

22

Patriotism patriosim brings all different people(the subdominants)in one place only because their love to their country. The cylinder is the country, the wooden part represents spiral stairs, the two subdominants(circle and rectangle)represent the floors, the rectangle at the top is used for shading

23

The Rectangle is the mother, the semi circle and the cylinder are her children. The fact that the mother always hugs and takes care of her children. Even if one of them is sick or wounded , she still manage to take care of the healthy ones he rectangular part is the building. The cylindered part is another building tilted on it like a tower. The semicircle is statue that people can come to take pictures with

FEEDBACK

• Each object appeared as seprate item with no connection between them • Some items should have started from different levels

PERSONAL REFLECTION

Repeating the same assigment many times made me understand more the purpose of the assigments

GRADE 3.35

THE ARTIST

kazimir Severinovich Malevich was a Polish-Ukrainian Russian avant-garde artist and art theorist, whose pioneering work and writing had a profound influence on the development of non-objective art in the 20th century.

26

Modern Architecture This is Kaimir Malevitch’s artwork whose pioneering and writing had a profound influence on the development abstracy of pure artistic feeling rather than on the visual depiction of objects

27

Modern Architecture • This is Kaimir Malevitch’s artwork whose pioneering and writing had a profound influence on the development abstracy of pure artistic feeling rather than on the visual depiction of objects • Made the objects start from different planes • Decreased the materials to be coherence • Made links between the objects

28

Concept board 0.4/0.5 Composition 0.9/1 Workmanship 1/1 Creativity 0.5/0.5 29

FEEDBACK

• The shadows made a nice effect • more rectilinear objects should be added to the composition

PERSONAL REFLECTION It was challenging getting a lot of objects out of the same shape, but I learned a lot from this assigment

GRADE 2.80

challenging gravity play with axes 30

play with axes

Dynamic • The object is challenging stability • the compositions has different twists by playing with the axes • the shadow made nice effect

31

Fast

Each of the objects forming the compositions follow each other as if it shows the path of the composition, the path where your eyes will see the objects.

FEEDBACK

• There were some overuse of wires • The compositions satisfied the meaning

PERSONAL REFLECTION

Negative space

using the wires was tricky, it was not easy at all as it gets deformed and out of shapeI ,but leaned a lot from this assigment

GRADE 2.45 34

thoughts

Overthinking

Body

The straight line is the person, the spiral and directional, and neutral curves represent the thoughts that cause the person to tilt or fall, I choose for the composition to have a start and doesn’t has an end because thats is overthinking.

35

Negative space

Taekwondo The spiral curves represent fear , accented curve represent a gun as a source of defense and the directional curve represent the person

36

Hands

Ballerina The two supporting curves represent the hand, the negative space represents the body, the spiral curves represents her leg ,and the accented curve represent her shoes

Freedom

Body

shoes

legs

I used spiral, direction and neutral curves, some parts had some extra spire as I wanted to show that no one always has freedom.

37

38

FEEDBACK

• The composition was too stable • There were not any relationship between the two objects

PERSONAL REFLECTION Using wires was tricky at first but as soon as I knew how to shape it ,it became interesting to use it while forming composition

GRADE -

THE ARTIST

He was a Danish architect. He was most notable for designinh the Sydney opera house in Australia. 39

Larger (ECHO)

Echo This landmark will be in the opera and it represents the echo to tell young singers that maybe the song is not that famous but it will go viral as the time pass

40

Echo

Intersecting

• This landmark will be in the opera and it represents the echo to tell young singers that maybe the song is not that famous but it will go viral as the time pass • I made the two objects interesting to be connected with each other • played with the balance a little bit

41

Draft one 2.5/3 Draft two 5.3/6 Concept board 2.5/3 42

FEEDBACK

• The composition wasn’t representing construction in the first phase • In the second phase , the objects were only orthogonal

PERSONAL REFLECTION

Repeating the same assignment many times allowed me to learn many things throughout the process and I learned alot regarding the style of the artist

GRADE 10.3

THE ARTIST

painter and photographer as well as a professor in the Bahaus school .He had a strong advocate of the integeration of technology and industry into arts CONSTRUCTIVISIM 43

Bringing memories

swing

László Moholy-Nagy who was one of artists of Bauhaus , Its title is Architecture (Eccentric Construction). It is a decorative light fixture that should bring joy and memories to our childhood as it looks like swings

44

Eccentric construction • I tried to make the colors (solid)and materials ( opaque ) represents construction • took his essence as the artist always used semi circles, rectangles and he depended on layering Phase feedback • Needs more light • lines needed to be less orthogonal • The black block is bulky

45

Eccentric construction • • • •

non orthogonal (z axis)

added more non orthogonal rectangles made black rectangle less blocky added more light changing photography technique by adding more light when taking the pictures

more light

46

47

FEEDBACK

• The shadows made nice effect • the composition looks interesting • I should have added human scale

PERSONAL REFLECTION

It was one of the most challenging assignments because I was doing it in class in only 2 hours , but I liked the outcome because of how interesting the relations between the objects

MARRY POPPINS PROPLEMS

• It took me so much time to settle on idea and to choose a composition • The colorful objects’ idea was very hard to be the letters to form the word on the mirror then I started to draw holes around each corner of piece of each letter, I hanged a string to each hole four strings each piece I Hanged each string in th wodden piece in levels with always making sure it will reflect on the mirror. Then sticking some parts with eachother to do compositions

FEEDBACK

• fun should not be represented in words it should be shown in the composition • human scale should be represented

PERSONAL REFLECTION

It was the hardest assignment to be done , starting from choosing the film , then abstracting the essence of the film to be done in a composition, and lastly the reflection of the word was very hard to be presented

GRADE -

53

FEEDBACK

• the pathway isn’t clear that it is a pathway • The playground isn’t safe for kids • the dynamic effect is nice

PERSONAL REFLECTION

I really did my best in this assignment tried to intergrate what I have learnt throughout the semester , tried to think of dynamic interactive ideas to be rewarding for the kid but I enjoyed working in this project.

Playful shelter

It is an installation of mary poppins film to ensure fun for the children as she always did in the film. It is an enterance area from traditional shape( rectangle) to make untraditional enterance and playground area for the children(the same concept as the film), and when the child approches and promise to sleep early, the sensor detects the voice and start surprising him with the playful magical jungle of swings as a gift. Then when he promise to keep the secret it surprises him with lights and sounds from his favourite movie
